Howland has to turn these players loose. The defense is one thing, but their offense is boring at best. The fouls in the S.C./Washington game were also glaring. There is no way any team should go to the line 43 times and the opponent 15 times. I don't care what conference it is, that is way off the mark. I think the Bruins play not to lose rather than to win. Dragovic and Roll have big games than disappear. Inconsistency and fear is what is ruining this team. And Howland not being more offensive minded. Yes, it is a young team, but when we have to depend on Aboya shooting outside jumpers to keep us in the game we are in trouble. Lastly, is Collison as good as we think. Look at his shooting pre Pac 10 play and in the Pac. He has to step up the pace and become the guard everyone says he is. If he doesn't the Bruins are an also ran.
Offense Looks Wooden

I hate to admit it but it doesn't look good for blue & gold this year. They have a lot of young talent that doesn't have the consistency to fight off teams like North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, etc. I love UCLA but that Washington game and the one we barely squeeked by against Wash. St. made it clear that this team is going to need some time to compete with the best of the best.

I think that Collison is not as good as we think he should be. I also think that he thinks so too - that is why he returned for his senior year. I don't know what it is that he needs to do; but, I believe it might have to do with heart, aggressiveness and willingness to get in there, duke it out and get bloodied.

I like the spiritedness that Drew Gordon and Malcolm Lee bring to the play of the team - they seem to play with fire in their eyes.
