Repeat defeat for the Bruins

Full story: LA Daily News

UCLA staged a big first-half comeback, made clutch shots and attacked Arizona State's matchup zone for much of the second half, but the result was the same as a month ago.

The PAC-10 needs to get some better refs. I admit I wasn't too sad when UCLA got a couple of calls in their favor at the end of games last year, and that it goes both ways, but it basically isn't fair to the players to have such unprofessional refs.

This time, between this one and Harden not getting called for decking a defender under the basket late in the game before dishing off to a teammate for an easy bucket, the officials really handed this game to ASU.

When I watch teams in other conferences, the officiating standard just does seem to be higher. And it's been this way for a long time. I still remember Booker Turner.

Three bad calls in a row at the endo of the game. Two blocks against the Bruins that should have been charges, and one charge against the Bruins that should have been a block. Howland doesn't say anything to the refs. He soesn't support his players.

I'm a big UCLA fan. The refs did NOT hand this game to ASU. In fact, there was a Collison double-dribble a few minutes earlier that wasn't called.

No excuses a loss is a loss,as long as were in the tournament it doesn't matter about how many losses we have.We can still win the championship that's the great thing about ncaa basketball, unlike football one loss and your pretty much done.GO BRUINS

The Pac-10 Officiaating is horrible not only in football but also in Basketball. ASU deserved the win yesterday, anytime you shoot over 60% of your shots you're gonna be tough to beat...never the less, those referees were terrible.

Yeah, they have a huge store right at the entrance of the campus on Westwood Blvd, go on Westwood Blvd.'til it ends and you'll find the parking on the left side (meters) and just walk across the street and you can't miss it, it's the first building on the right side, 50 yards N/W from the parking entrance, in front of the Bruin Hall of Fame Building - a MUST SEE the have all of the 103 National Title Placques and shrines for Jackie Robinson, and some of the other Bruin Greats. Every 3 months they have a huge sale, everyting on the store discounted 25% and tons of Bruin Gear at 50% off.

UCLA has no offensive ball mouvements flow. They do not know what to do with the ball except passing it around passively .

What a pathetic performance by our beloved Bruins. Why in the hell is Howland leaving Aboya in the game when he can't do shyt with the ball, he's getting beat on every possesion, he can't handle the ball, and he's still in the freaking game...gutless performances the last two games...what the hell happened to the real Bruins? the only Bruin I recognize is Josh Shipp, where the hell did the rest go?? down by 20 points early in the 2nd half...on national television, and the play like this?.... emabarrasing.

Thanks for defending me, but that was no impostor, our Bruins were horrible today and showed no urgency as the final 2 minutes were winding down. They passed up several open shots and they handled the ball is if they were up instead of down...just no sense of urgency what so ever.

Is there an upside to this? I believe so, it showed another weakness exposed...complacency, at times they passed they ball forgetting that they had someone defending them|

Howland is one of the top-3 coaches in college Basketball and he will find a way get them back on the right track and ready come tournament time...FACT.

I would just like to know why J'mison Morgan is not being used as much as he should, concidering his service may be needed a little more in March.
