Yeah but...to trade Flynn to Indy would be an admission that last year's draft was a failure. They passed on Curry (a real gem) and traded Ty Lawson to Denver.

If they traded flynn to the pacers i bet they would have drafted paul george like the pacers did.

Charley Walters is an idiot. He's probably the most least respected sports journalist in the twin cities. I remember a posting on Profootballtalk about a vikings rumor, and it specifically said this is probably BS because it came from Walters.

Less respected than Sid? I doubt it. Curry was rated as an under-sized SG. No one knew he'd develop into a pretty good PG. As for Darko, he played harder down the stretch than Al did. And isn't the 4th year of his contract a team option? McHale created worse contracts than Darko's.

I can't wait to watch the t-wolves this year. They will definitely be more exciting and improved from last year. I'd say an improvement of 10+ games from last years team. Now all we have to do is get rid of Ryan Hollins and Ramon Sessions. I'd say dump them both with some 2nd rounders to the Blazers for Rudy Fernandez or Nicolas Batum and Joel Przybilla.

I have no idea what the Timberpups have done recently and what they will do in the near future. I've turned down free tickets (sometimes free isn't worth it) and will do so again in the future.
This team is so far away from being quality that I wonder how many years Taylor will be willing to operate at a loss...no end in sight, no quality players...NOTHING!...NADA!

Shooter couldn't be a bigger homer. Cole Aldrich? Really?? Get a clue. Just because Darko isn't even in the stratosphere of the other top five players in the '03 draft doesn't mean that he can't be a 'good' player. If he was a late first-rounder seven years ago nobody would have a problem with us paying him $5 million a year for what he will give us. There are only a handful of pretty good centers on the planet, so I don't see the issue with paying $5 mil/year for an average one. Shooter acts like we gave him a max deal or something. And for the record, Cole went 11th and was already traded once for a reason. Maybe Shooter is still upset that Laettner and Cherokee Parks didn't quite work out for us..

How can you judge a guy as not being good when nobody has given hima chance to fail. He's unproven at worst and to say he can't be good is tough. If he starts this year and doesn't produce then you can say it was a bad signing. If they see his potential then it's a good calculated risk and we're so far under the cap now it's not like we can't afford the contract.

Give up on Flynn after one year for Aldrich? That is beyond laughable. Flynn is very young and will develop into a very good PG. He was taught to play that pathetic zone defense at Syracuse and will need to learn how to play real D. He has the quickness and strength to stick with anyone.

Holy karumbie!. Have you ever watched a basketball game? The Darko deal is a good one. Aldrich will have the NBA offensive game of Mark Madsen. He should have been a 2nd round pick. Flynn for the 10th? You are on ignore for the duration. What you know about hoops, put it back in the thimble.

Once again, another fan who understands nothing about the nba draft. Ty Lawson was drafted by MN but that pick had already been traded to the Nuggets. In other words, the Nuggets agreed to trade picks if the Wolves drafted Lawson for them.

But the TWolves still could've drafted him outright and never discussed a trade beforehand.

Mr. Walters is speaking with way too much certitude about Milicic. If Beasley as a number two pick was a smart move, why might Milicic, also a number two pick, not also be a smart move? He looked like a man with game during his stint with us last year. He certainly was a man who could pass, and that is a real value in a big man. He also appears to have a shot that can be improved.

I think the real story, if Mr. Walters or any of the other PP writers bothered to write real stories any more, is that Mr. Kahn is either a step ahead of everyone else or a step behind, and none of us, probably including Mr. Kahn, knows which. THAT, my friends, is the wager of this season and next: did Mr. Kahn outsmart himself with safe picks, future promises, and reclamation projects, or was he thinking three moves ahead when everyone else was only thinking ahead two?

Stay tuned, and quit drawing conclusions.

I'm dissapointed - Shooter only dropped eight names in this article, way down from his average and all from the Wolves. I had expected at least a mention of Lebron, Wade, Chris Paul, etc.

That being said, this is basically a regurgitation of everything I've seen written about the Wolves in the past month and a half. The only difference is most people think Kahn is an idiot while Shooter doesn't.

Better include a "Joe Mauer chews five sticks of bubblegum at a time when DH'ing" under the next 'Don't Print That' to make up for the lack of name drops in this article.

R U looking at the same team we are looking at Mr. Shooter. Cause i don't see this team willing 15 games next year. Khan is clueless in terms of what he is doing. Give the man pops for trying, couldn't say the same about McFail. But given that everybody was dumping salary, we could have added a known comodity like deng and heinrich for what we just signs any day. In basketball, all you need is a couple of stars and you win, even Khan stated that himself. Instead of adding to the only star, Jefferson, that he had, he traded him away for nothing. He say better things are coming, does he call trading for west and former wolves, better days. Is he cazy or what? I don't see any future in this team at all. but who cares, i don't plan on watching them anyway this winter, so who cares....GO VIKING.....

Letting go and passing on Jefferson, Ty Lawson, Steph Curry and Brandon Jennings, seem like some larger "hiccups", than trading away Flynn for the next Joel Prysibella. I mean, Kahn is completely clueless right now. The best player on the Wolves is a head-case in "Beas" and he just happened to fall into Kahn's lap because Miami was urgently needing cap space. Kahn is worst than McHale.

Here's a simple equation: Timberwolves keep the 15th pick + Timberwolves use 15th pick = Timberwolves draft Ty Lawson.

wow, an improvement of 10 games!!!! that means they would win 25 games, and lose ONLY 57, how awesome.....typical , accept AND embrace mediocrity..........
If you are being honest and actually can not wait until the TPups play again, well I am really sorry for you. I do not mean to be disrespectful to you but c'mon, the Wolves? really? You must be a true fan if you are genuinely excited for this team and this newest group of stiffs.
