It might be time to pose this question: How far can Kevin Love and Michael Beasley carry the Timberwolves by themselves? Based on the outcome of Saturday night's game against the Chicago Bulls at United Center, the answer would seem to be not very far.

Being from Minnesota but living in Washington I had not seen the Timberwolves on TV. I was satisfied with the hype of a developing team. When they played Chicago they were on cable TV. I cleared my calander for the game. WOW - What a terrible performance. I was telling my friends they would win 30 games this year. Now I wonder how they won 6 games. If I were Rambis I wouldn't watch the films of this game.

Need Flynn badly...Ridnour is a nice 7th man, tops. Horrid defender. Ping pong balls are adding up quick for Jared Sullinger.

Our players simply are not as good as other teams.
We have been playing career back-up point guards
all season, our starting center is adequate, but
played only 13 minutes after getting in foul
trouble, and our shooting guards are terrible.
They are spotty at best. Darko Milicic's back-ups
are inexperienced, Beasley really has no back-up,
and we have two starters who have not played all
year. Do we panic and bring in an accomplished
veteran shooting guard? I say yes. It's time
to use some of that cap space and bring in Andre
Iguodala to give us some shooting, driving, and
finishing. It will open up so many more important
aspects of this game - driving and kicking, made
shots percentage, spreading the floor, which
spreads the defense and opens the interior game
for the big men. Yes, one very good 2 guard can
do all of that. We need his aggressiveness. This
team is too passive. It's like they are afraid.
Webster and Iguodala would give the Wolves a
great tag team at the position. This losing is
taking a toll on the team, the coaches and the
fans. It's because our roster is made of career
back-up players. That's all they ever will be.
We need some players.

I think Luke has topped out.

Bassy, sadly, is, and always will be, a near miss.

Wes is still a rookie, but seems somehow fearful. We can only hope this is a developmental phase.

Darko shows real promise and is the glue of the team, despite the claims that Love has that job.

Pek is all thunder and no lightning.

Love is a monster -- a basketball janitor with a stroke.

And Beasley? What do we have here? He's goes cowboy on us far too much. I'm curious as to how Rambis will handle him.

The cowboy and the janitor. It seems like an odd combo. But I hope it will work.

I still like this team. A lot.

Darko is the key, it's important that he score early and avoid the fouls in the first minutes. That changes the complexion of the whole game. PG is a problem, Flynn hopefully will make an impact there, and Webster needs to take the pressure off Wes. Where I disagree with Rambus is in his use of Corey Brewer -- he needs to play more, and play through periods of cold shooting. He has the skill, and the experience, and shows flashes of brilliance when he plays with confidence. Wes needs to come off the bench and bring energy without all this pressure of attempting to be the "Shooting guard"

Beasley's best fit imo is as a sixth man, playing him at the 3 or the 4 depending on the matchup. Right now he's looking for his shot only when getting the ball and his defense is absolutely brutal. Ridnour is definately not the steadying presence/veteran pg that they thought they were getting, he's as apt to make a rookie mistake as anyone and is constantly losing track of the shot clock. That said, this team on most nights is fun to watch again, and when they get Webster and Flynn back they should(hopefully)have a shot most nights.

We are thin at SG. Brewer can't shoot and W. Johnson is better suited to SF. Webster could make a huge difference but my sights are set more on next year than this year. Rubio will be here, Telfair will be gone. How Flynn plays this year should determine if it's he and Rubio who are with the team or if Ridenour is the backup. Flynn could be a trading chip. Brewer should be packaged. Maybe we draft someone like Harrison Barnes. One thing I'd like to see the Wolves consider is giving Greg Oden a chance. His time in Portland may be done. With Darko on board we could lower expectations and if Oden could ever stay healthy he could be a great pickup.

Oddly enough, this sounds like a 21st century derivation of The Village People. Maybe Flynn can be a traffic cop, or soldier, when he comes back.(and yes, I know there was no janitor)

Time for the NBA to consider eliminating some teams and the Wolves are a great place to start. Its a disservice to fans around the country to pay money for this poor level of competition.

Hmmm, what to say? I watched the game and it was so bad that is beyond unbelivable. It was almost Chicago playin some D-league lower level type team. As much as I hate to say it BUT, if Darko plays good we might win, not always, remember LA and San Antonio but we were there, he had great game and we almost won. On the other hand, call me crazy BUT,if KLove plays good game and statisticaly he always does we still have more chance to lose the game as matter of fact to 95% we will lose game with his monster game. So, Darko is the key, even though I sometimes think he is limited player. I just hope that he shows lil' bit more agressivnes thats all, lil' bit more passion by driving to hope,or jumping for the ball. And please learn to turn around and take that 10-15 feet jumper. He shoots excellent free throws, add that to your repertoar. KLove is horrible defender, not far from him is a KBeasley aka "lost in translation" aka "space cadet". They two can't quard nobody. They get abused by any player they are defending. We need somebody like Barnes or Artest to cover for their ass. Stricktly defending. I hope MWebster might do that. Next, point guards hehehehe, Luke Ridnour let me start with him. Who is this guy??? How come he has been in the league for so long? He is a worst nightmare for coach, he is LOST. Can't defend, can't assist, takes crazy shots and always have that stupid face expression on his face. SEND HIM PACKING and include STelfair as well. Give them for free pay them not to play. They are HORRIBLE. Pay some good veteran point guard money and we will win 10-15 more games I guarantee. Nuff said

Do not expect Flynn to help any, all you had to do is have watched him last year to see how horrible he is. He will be no better this year.

''The team sucks.End of story ''

Gee, I'm not so sure that's the problem. The real problem, at least according to a Sid Hartman is, that the Wolves need a new stadium --- a billion dollar facility that has all the amenities new arenas all have like more bathrooms, more taverns, more luxury boxes, more signage, bigger scoreboard where ads can be shown. This will give taxpayers the privilege of paying more taxes in order to put more money into the pockets of millionaire players and billionaire owners.

Wouldn't that be a treat?

A new arena will automatically make the team more competitive, give free agents more incentive to play here, improve team morale, and divert tax revenues from unneeded things like school teachers, firefighters, and police services.

Isn't that ideal???

Let's give the Wolves a new arena and call it SID HARTMAN STADIUM. A series of NBA titles is sure to follow.

the downfall of this team is that they play terrible defense. some of the worst that i have ever seen. worse, that terrible defense starts with our two 'star' players, love and beasley, who are both very weak on the defensive end. those of you that think all the rebounds that love gets makes him a good defensive player need to watch him...he is timid and out of position on the defensive end constantly.

FYNN IS NOT BETTER THAN SEBASTIAN TELFAIR. BASSY is their future point guard.
