YES!!! I think both of those guys never lived up to what I thought they were capable. Start fresh, draft a shooting guard and point guard with the 5th and 6th pick or trade up for Rubio, either way we are looking good.

Oh My Goodness. I think this is a one way trade, but then it looks good. I would liked them to keep Foye but if they can get a good PF and C or PF this trade could be good things to come.

if you count jefferson and gomes, 8 of 12 players on t-wolves roster are power forwards.

looks like more deals need to be made.

If Sacramento ends up taking Evans with the fourth, this trade is really going to blow, assuming Thabeet and Rubio go top 3. If they end up taking Curry with the 5th or 6th I'm going to puke, Curry doesn't belong in the top 10. It's a crap shoot, but I'd say go with any combination of Flynn, DeRozan, Holiday, or Harden.

Not gonna win many games. Will be a powerful team anyway. FEEL the power of the WOLVES.
How about a big DOG coach now to manage these powerful WOLVES.

How is this a great deal for us? I assume the players we get are just for cap clearance for next year? I'm not quite sure how a #5&6 help so much, unless they are somehow used to move up??? Kahn certainly has piqued my interest in the team, that's for sure. Hope he pulls it off.:)

I hope they use a combination of 5 OR 6 and the 18th to move up to 2. In doing so, they can grab Rubio or Thabeet at 2, Evans/Harden/DeRozan at 6, and still have the 28th pick...
They could also potentially use a combination of picks 5/6/18 to pick up a stud veteran like Stoudamire...
I like the fact that we have some flexibility. Also, remember we have guaranteed 2 first round picks next year. Nice work Kahn.

wow! what a hideous move by the Wolves. to trade two decent players just to receive a pick and three bench players. I think its about time khan man starts worrying about his job.

Use #5 & 28 for Rubio, then use #6 and 18 for Thabeet. Just think, Love, Jefferson, Rubio, Thabeet and another nice guard. Would be a nice team.

YES!! I LOVE THIS TRADE.(If we dont trade the #5 or 6 and 18 for # 2 or #5 and #28 for # 4 (Rubio could very easily fall to there.) Then i say keep these. Draft Harden and Tyreke Evans with 5 and 6 and then draft Mullens or Daye (James Johnson if he's available) then at #28 draft best player available (Sam Young or Wayne Ellington)

Our lineup could be

Evans, Harden, Brewer/Gomes (Daye or Johnson if we draft them), Love, Jefferson (Mullens if we draft him)

That is a VERY VERY good lineup with the potential to be great. And the oldest player (With brewer in that) would be like 25

NO DEROZEN!

And Uncle Rico not 2 guarenteed next year

If we dont finish in the top like 10 next or something like that we have to give our pick to the clippers (marco jaric trade) and we only get the sixers pick if there not in the lottery.

use #5 on curry.
trade him, thomas, cardinal and madsen to new york
for hughs, lee and #8.(opens a spot lee could back up jefferson way better than those lost.

evans or rubio will be there at #6.
depends on who kings pick at #4.

with luck harden would be still there and could take flynn at #8.

wolves have to finish with a bottom 10 record to keep their pick next season.
wolves own rights to jazz protected first.
may be 1-17 protected. I can not remember right now exactly.

jazz pick is protected 1-15 in 2010,
1-17 in 2011 and 1-16 in 2012 and 2013.
if wolves do not get a first by then they get a second round pick.

We actually may be able to get both Evans and Rubio now. Let's say we trade 5 and 18 to Memphis for 2. The draft could go:

1) LAC (Griffin)
2) WOLVES (Rubio)
3) OKC (Thabeet)
4) SAC (Curry I hope...let them get all starry eyed at his 40 foot threes and flashy game)
5) MEM (Whoever wants to play for them, lol...no Harden perhaps? Or Evans)
6) MIN (Evans or Harden)

That would make our starting lineup next year:

Rubio
Evans or Harden
Gomes
Jefferson
Love

Very young team but they'd be incredibly fun to watch grow up and have loads of potential. Kudos so far Mr. Kahn, continue to make it happen!
