Thabeet had the ball just to the side of the basket, right
at the end of the game. With his height advantage,he's got
to go up and stuff the ball.Instead,he passes out to the perimeter.Len Elmore pointed this out and attributed the
mistake to inexperience.

Len Elmore mentioned this on t.v.and
chalked it up to inexperience.

How Hasheem didn't get the rebound was obvious. It is not politically correct to call out the officials but the replay clear shows that Pena gave Hasheem a hard shove in the back which allowed him to get position and tap the ball back. The officials did not have the gumption to call the foul.
Coach Calhoun hinted at it when he mentioned that the game was physical, but it was painfully obvious that the smaller Villanova players were allowed to push and "hack" inside for most of the game with few fouls called. Whereas several clean strips and blocks by UConn were called as fouls (case in point Wiggins making a clean strip on the fastbreak).

let's not forget...thabeet, as improved as he not, yet, THAT good. people talk like he's lottery pick. NO WAY. he's inconsistent and can be quite soft. he need another year (at least).

adrien and price have shown how seasoned they are. and dyson is as tough as they get. the huskies need him back. austrie is cool under fire and a fantastic ingredient. dyson, however, makes them go.

thabeet? he needs more games under his belt. he is not THE answer; he can be AN answer on given nights.

robinson? i can't figure him out.

Indeed, Thabeet needs more time to improve. He is inconsistent and, in truth, so is the rest of the team. There are bursts of energy preceded of followed by periods of lack luster play. UConn is a good team, NOT a great team and I think that the coaches, players and fan know this. However, their time for greatness may come if THEY desire to get to the next level of play.
