Spurs defense turns game into an easy win over Pacers

Full story: The Indianapolis Star

Tim Duncan dominated the middle and San Antonio's stingy second-half defense turned a close game into a rout Tuesday night, leading the Spurs to a 116-89 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Pacers need to let O`neal.Tinsley go, they have contracts yes. Pay them you have the money Simons, go sign some young ball players who want to play. Fans will come back when the effort is shown. Oh yes get rid of the coach to, he is not answer. Comapny i work gor has 4 season tickets. This will be last year for them. Untill Bird shows he can make trades and draft winners. To better the team. he has not so far, I think the game has pass him by/

How many more losses until we lock up a lottery pick? I never thought I'd be rooting for the Pacers to lose but with this team there isn't much hope for the future.

Playing the best defensive team in the league only proves that the fun and gun offense the Pacers are trying to play is a joke. The Pacer scored in the 80's last year with this group of players and lost. This year they score over 100 points a game with the same players and lose. That only points to the fact that the offense does not matter. The fact the Pacers play zero defense is the problem.
The Pacers are a joke from the top down. Larry Bird was a legend in Boston but they would not let him run their franchise. O'Brien was available because no franchise wanted him. Murphy and Dunleavy were available because they are both soft, play zero defense and make money well beyond their NBA worth.
The Pacers are a train wreck and Larry Bird is the engineer of the train. The problem is that Larry has had opportunities to make the team better but refused to do so. How many people own a Kia and demand 2 Bentleys in return for a trade. The only thing a person like that does is ensure that they are driving a piece of crap for years. The Pacers will be horrible until Bird wakes up and realizes what a piece of trash team he assemble or the Simons get rid of him all together.

Hey Fools,

We don't need to field a competitive team. We've already got a brand new stadium in Conseco Fieldhouse where my brother and I collect all revenues (circuses, concerts, etc.) and it didn't cost us a dime!

Pay attention, Jimmy and you can do this with Lucas Oil Stadium after your team crashes and burns like ours did.

wow they suck. i hope they bomb the rest of the year and get a good draft pick. but wait...they'll trade it away for the rights to some 8 foot white guy in estonia that will not be available to play until 2012.
i really miss the good ol' days when it was not embarassing to be a pacers fan.

I see a lottery pick in the future. This isn't a bad thing unless you consider the recent track record in the draft. Most noteably trading up to pick a player who didn't even make the roster out of camp. Did I mention they gave away future draft picks to do so? Pathetic. The Pacers brass is so clueless they might draft Sam Bowie. No, I didn't mean somebody like Sam Bowie, but actually Sam Bowie!
