Team defense rescues Pacers

Less than two weeks ago, Indiana Pacers coach Jim O'Brien was lamenting his team's poor defensive rotations after it squandered a seven-point fourth-quarter lead in a home-court loss to Cleveland. Read more

This team seems to be very coach-able and proud. They're a threat to win wherever they play because of their preparation. This team looks to help each other, unlike last years who faltered late into the season. Go Shawn, Go Pacers!

It will be a quiet post for the haters and nay sayers. Their is not alot they can say of the consistant effort this team puts on the floor. For a team that is learning a new system and new coach, they showed great maturity and growth last night. I for one bacame a believer.

Win or lose these guys don't quit. I am not putting them in the NBA finals yet and they need to continue to work hard but the formula is in place, the chemistry is improving and the desire has returned.

Bring it on haters and nay sayers. While your flapping your gums the Pacers will do their talking on the court.

I really enjoy watching this team. They are playing as a team and that is refreshing!! I just wish more people would show up at the home games the attendance is terrible. Maybe thats why we having a losing record at home. Come on fair weather fans lets support both teams in this city!!

I think this team could win 8 of its remaining 12 games for December. That would put them at 18-14 beginning the New Year. Not too bad for a team that was only supposed to win 28 games this year, eh?

GO PACERS!

The win is great, yet even more pleasing is how JO is fitting into the new system. We're still running the new style of offense when he's in there and that's a big plus. O'Brien has really turned this team around and is getting the most out of everybody.

Still a little concerned that JO can slow things down sometimes, but you can tell he's making an effort to speed things up.

As long as Granger, Dunleavy and Tinsley keep being consistent offensive threats and O'Neal doesn't take all the shots, we should continue to play the way we have...

One thing is obvious to me. When Tinsley plays like he did the second half of last nights game the Pacers usually win. Tinsley needs to continue to play like this the rest of the season. If he does and they do this team will make the playoffs.

Great win!
Even when they get down by 10-12 pts, you can see they don't get rattled and they stick with their game.
Great job by the coaches!

Yes. I hate to keep repeating myself, but I've been telling y'all that Pacer Pride will never die. All the haters can stick it. I hope Jamaal took the team out to a really great strip club after this SIGNIFICANT victory. Five of the last six road games? This team can play; let's start supporting them!

It seems that this team is coming aroud, not only with their play on the court but their behavior off the court. Jim O'Brein seems to be just what the doctor ordered. Shawane Williams is to be commended for his dedication. Dont get me wrong a lot of good will was destroyed by last years collape and the problems on the police blotter and it will take more time to get the fans back, but i see the tide turnig slowly but surely.

I really really really think that Jay-hoe should be sit'n out and get'n that damn knee right. We are better with out him and his one leg. For now were just an even 40-40 team and with Jay-slut gets it together then were a 50-30 team. big diffrence, wait it out .... will see Howard again!!! be smart!!!!!

Did I not tell Y'all Tinsley was the man!? Go Pacers!!!!

Ok I know JO is the team's leader on paper....but from what I'm seeing I think Jamal is emerging as the team's leader. He is telling everyone what to do and where they are supposed to be.

btw Foster's the man too

Speaking of someone flapping their gums...

I think you'd find that the haters would gladly be Pacer "lovers" again if the team would continue to do their talking on court and not IN a court.

Hey Pfffft, SHUT UP! Do you measure the success of a team based solely on championships? I guess you thought the Colts were worthless until last year. We are not talking championships, we only want to see the Pacers play hard and give a solid effort every night. If they do this, they will get things turned around and make the city proud again.

I have to admit...I'm really-really pleasantly surprised by it all. Tins, Dun, hustle, Tins, Dun, tempo, Tins, Dun, intensity, Tins, Dun, being .500 after 20 games.

Oh, did I mention I'm really-really pleasantly surprised by Tins and Dun...?!

Keep it up Pacers! I like what I'm seeing!!

All you Tinsley haters were wrong, and have always been wrong.

He's playing great and using his open floor talents to really lead this squad. We're lucky to have him here becuase he's a hell of a PG.
