Last night's disaster is proof, if any was needed, that the 9-game winning streak was an illusion. Wade-less, I fear that the Conseco bust is the real Heat.

miami has one of the deepest benches in the league and given that playoff time is around the corner I wouldn't bet against this group in any 7 game series. The only teams I see as tough to get to the finals again are Chicago and Detriot. Thats when I think we will see Wade back. Eddie is a defensive shut down player and he will prove invaluable in the title repeat. Let the real games begin...

DID ANYBODY WITH A BRAIN THINK THESE SCHLEPS WERE REJUVINATED? I'VE SAID ALL ALONG THERE TOO OLD AND SLOW. SHAQ LIKES TO TOOT HIS HORN WHEN HE'S MATCHED AGAINST INFERIOR COMPETITION. IF HE'S AS GOOD AS HE CLAIMS HE SHOULD DO IT EVERY NIGHT. THEY WORE THEMSELVES OUT BEATING CRAPPY TEAMS. OVERHALL,THEY NEED WADE NEXT YEAR WITH SOME GOOD YOUNG PLAYERS.

You all are a bunch a whiners. So they lost against Orlando and Indiana, but instead of discussing about possible reasons why they lost, you guys are saying that they are old. If you are going to comment on the Heat, don't cry about how old they are. Even if talking about why they lost doesn't do any good, because the team doesn't really care what your opinion is, but at least you have made constructive criticism. Do you want to know why they recently lost to Orlando and Indiana? They were exposed by those teams. Their weakness was exposed. It is as simple as that.
Think about it for a minute...The Heat is not a jump shooting team and they specially are not a real threat from the 3-point line. Yeah, they can hit 15-20 feet jump shots on occasion, but when a team does it 4 out of 5 times they touch the ball, then why should they win. The only reason the Heat has had success for the past 3 seasons is because Dwayne balances that out. With Wade in the lineup they have a more balanced attack. Without him they rely on Shaq creating for everybody else. The only time this team would win by shooting a lot of 3's is if they had Ray Allen or the younger versions of Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller.
See, what ticks me off is not that they take those shots at the beginning of the game. What ticks me off is that for the last 2 seasons, I have noticed that Pat Riley and his coaching staff, yes them, have failed to adjust. If jump shots are not working, they don't try something different. They don't try to be more aggressive by attacking the basket. What happens when you attack the basket, well...soon enough you would get the other team in foul trouble or it would open things up for jump shots and not the other way around. Not adjusting is the reason we as fans have seen a few lopsided loses this season.
Maybe you guys have heard this before, but for those of you who haven't: "You live by the 3, you die by the 3!"
You can't expect a jump shooting team to go far. Which is a reason why Chicago is also a Pretender.

Ph Please Walker played like 11 minutes when it mattered but you always find a way to blame him don't you biased Ira?

Walker had 2, 3's in that time so I am sure he was the last thing on Indiana's mind but who needs facts right Ira?
