The Pacers came out shooting well but then continued their usual inconsistancy. The same problems showed themselves again.
JO got out played by the opposing teams big men.
Dunleavy lit it up offensively and guarded no one.
Murphy continues to pad his stats with meaningless rebounds. He never gets one when the team needs it.
Granger followed up a brilliant 32 point game with a 13 point effort. His inconsistancy continues.

Larry needs to pull the trigger on some trades. Even though he is the worst judge of talent in the league, he can't possibly make the team any worse

To all you slackjaws, Pacers will lose until Bird is gone. You never trade a black guy for a white guy!

The Pacers are definately getting their money's worth with JO. 19 million per year and he is averaging 13 and 7. Pacers would be lucky to get anything for him, unless a team who needs cap space is hoping he will opt out of his contract at the end of the season. It doesn't matter how many points the Pacers put up when you have no perimeter defense.

What did you expect? You already know. Larry Losers continue on their pace to win less than 30 this year. Get use to it INDY.

Until Larry and the slow, over-rated, over-paid players like Dunleavy, Murphy, Diogowhoo, and Harrison are gone count on being the laughing stock of the NBA..

Way to Go Larry...you are brilliant: APRIL FOOL...

So far everyone is correct in their comments. I have to ask though, You expected different when making a Western swing? Thbe west has out played the east for several years now and it should continue. Boston is looking good but the averages are west over east.

As far as the Pacers .... Cut them all lose and start from the top.

Is there really anyone out there that watched this game from start to finish, at that hour, and with nothing else to do? Before the season is over you will be lucky to see 300 people in the fieldhouse. We are now the old Atlanta Hawks franchise of the NBA. Way to go Larry!!!

You're an idiot. This isn't about race it's about talent, fool!!

By the way, are you black? because that's what race I am and I don't see just color I see people for who they are worth.

At this stage of the season, the Pacers are a "nice" team. They look good when the jump shots are falling. However, looking at the season stats to date, one glaring weakness is that they are being outscored at the free throw line by nearly 8 FTs per game. This is indicative of a "soft" team. The only player who attacks the basket consistently is Tinsley.
A look at last night's box score is indicative of this; in a 16 point loss, the Pacers were outshot from the line by 21, and outscored by 19!
When the jumpers are falling they're fun to watch; when they're not, they have no chance against most teams.
Fix that, and you've got a chance to be a pretty good squad.

I agree with the comments on defensive slowness by dunleavy. but playa is offbase - bad hamstring now but even when healthy I dont see Tinsley guarding anybody well either. And playa needs to cool the race stuff. Like he wouldnt have traded John Salley for Larry Bird or Kevin McHale in 1985? I might be black or white but I AM a transplanted Hoosier and even stuck in missouri I feel the pain in INdy. peace to you all.

When, oh when, are the Simon brothers going to wake up, own up to making a mistake hiring Bird and rid the team of some of these losers (Bird and players alike).

The defense against Bryant (and really the whole Lakers team) was pathetic.

Can anyone say "Lottery Pick."

This is not a "race" issue so stop trying to make it one.

We need players regardless of their color (as long as they know how to saty out of trouble anyway) that can play the game.

Get a life, moron!

11 for 17 free throws for the Pacers vs
30 of 38 for the Lakers.

That's you need to know. The NBA is a fixed sham and it's why no on watches it.

Might as well watch professional wrestling.

The players know it too. They don't really even care as long as they get the paycheck

ok tinsley haters....tell me how are your pacers doing without my man?

How hard is it for the pacers to score without Jamal? How lost do they look without him? Without jamal the pacers are worthless....trade him and you basically loose the only asset left.
Yet, dont expect all-star performance from him on his first couple games back.

The lead they had to start the game was erased by some rediculous officiating. Why can't these officials just call the game straight up. It appeared to me they were giving the Lakers a jolt. They played pretty well defensively in the 2nd quarter. However, the parade to the line (with some phantom calls) the entire game was the difference....that and our lack of shot making (lay-ups and wide open looks). Bottom line...the result sucks.

We have to play Foster more. I don't understand why he doesn't get 25 - 30 minutes each night.

I expect them to win on Tuesday!!

Stop fooling yourself, when the jumpers are falling they still can't play defense and they will lose...NO WAY OUT! Make some trade, get rid of Bird or get use to the Pitiful Pacers...You can thank good ole, homeboy, hillbilly Larry..

At least the streets are safer without him around. I'd rather lose without him than win with him.
