Just give up on the season, give Oneal a rest. We don't want to make the playoffs, we won't go anywhere. We want our first round pick!

building a team around this guy was a huge mistake. not a leader and only slightly better than average forward.

I agree with all of these comments.
The best thing the Pacers can do is not make the playoffs!

I agree rest him. We need to put him at his proper position PF and get a real center. That would make a real difference. Heck I long for the days of Rik Smits. Troy is not a center. But there are some in the draft this year!!!

I've been a longtime Pacer fan, since back in the day of Vern Fleming, Chuck Person, Reggie, Rik, and the Davis Boys...i can't really describe in words on how i feel about the current team...to me, there is no sense of pride in playing basketball...its all about effort and hustle..this team does not have it besides possible jeff foster..JO needs to sit, he's clearly not 100 percent and only hindering the team when he is out there..so many things to say, but not enough space or time..its so frustrating watching this team play, maybe i should come to the realization that this team has no chemistry and aren't very good.

You people do realize that the NBA salary cap and guaranteed contracts make it more than a little difficult to simply unload the entire roster every year. Considering there are only three or four players from last years roster even here this year, I'm not sure how much more blowing up they can do.

Obviously, if they don't get Oden or Durant, they'll go for the best guard they can find. Considering the Florida backcourt, probably Conley, maybe Affalo will be available, the Pacers have an opportunity to rebuild that position. The Summers kid from Georgetown would be a tremendous second round pickup if he were available.

We are right there with you, I miss the pride as well. I can describe how I feel about the current team and events, SAD. I look at the posts in some threads where they are belittled and joked about, and I can't believe this is our Pacers! I feel a sense of loss.

I had the chance to watch THE PACERS on ESPN/they looked terrible to put it mildly. THe team leader/JERMAIN LOOKED THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED & DISINTERESTED!!!!

UNFORTUNATELY & I HATE TO SAY THIS but Rick Carlisle has lost this team & a change must be made!!!!

Maybe with a lottery pick we can bring GREG ODOM home!!!!!!

What do you expect? You just can't make a trade like we did. I don't care whats going on. This team needs to be gutted??? It has already been gutted. I am amazed that you could not give Danny Granger any credit. Foster is all you could come up with? PLEASE!!!

I am from Indiana and I am a fan of both the Pacers and the Colts. It seems like you are one too. One thing real fans don't do is ridicule their team, if you are a fan you support them. It is good to read someones post that has disappointment but not ridicule of the team as its foundation.

Heck, wasn't it Indiana fans who booed Reggie Miller when he was drafted by the Pacers, and also burned down his brand new home. I am sure he felt the love then. Indiana fans this year showed so little confidence in the Colts as they headed down the stretch. That it made me sad. Go back and look and some of those posts from December and January.

One thing I believe you cannot do in Indiana that is listen to the fan chatter. If Tony Dungy and Bill Polian had listened to the fans down the stretch instead of sticking to their guns where would the Colts be today?

I believe that Larry Bird listened to the fans and where are the Pacers right now? To top it off we have no first round draft pick, and the Warriors are now knocking on the door for the 8th place in the western conference. I hope they get in... it would serve us right.

Indy fans had become too accustomed to losing the big ones, a little jaded they became. I have supported our teams throughout the bad times, but recent off court behavior has made it a laughable position to take. I hope we just, as Kravitz put it,'tank' the season, get into the lottery.
BTW, Reggie's ex-wife Marita is suspect in that fore at his house, he himself thinks so too.

Miller's wife burnt down his house, and I don't think she's a Pacer fan. Also, "real fans" know that we keep our first round draft pick if it's in the top 10.

I'm afraid that even if the Pacers get any good draft picks this summer they'll just trade them!

So I have heard and if she did, I stand corrected... But I still have some questions for you: 1. did he get booed on draft day, real fan??? 2. Did you believe the Colts could do it?? 3. Did you trust Dungy when he said that the defense did not need big changes? 4. When Dungy speaks from now on will you believe he knows what he is talking about?
