Will real Pacers please stand up?

All your points are good and valid except one - professionals should know how to attack a zone by now, without any handholding. It's not like they've never done it in their career before.
You MUST have plays in place against the zone, and the ONLY way those plays work is if you PRACTICE them.
Tinsley played at Iowa State, Dunleavy at Duke, O'Neal never played college ball, Murphy played at ND and Granger at New Mexico.
I guarantee you that all those schools had different ways of attacking the zone, which is why when they stood around last night, it was painfully obvious that this team does not practice against the zone much.
It's not handholding, it's COACHING.
That's what O'Brien gets paid for.

I am not surprised the Pacers blew that game against the Nuggets. There is no heart in our team.......We do this every time. Perhaps when Conseco is empty and no one rooting anymore something will be done.
Sorry, you are paid to play, the fans love you...No other fans are as loyal as the Indiana fans and you let us down all the time. Sad but true........I say, play with heart and give the fans what they deserve.......God bless Dunleavy. I think he truly cares as does Granger and Foster..........How frustrating. Come on Larry Bird, be a man and take control before the Pacers move out of Ind.
All Dunleavy cares about is chucking the ball each time he gets it.

Jamaal Tinsley had in shot blocked 3 times, fouled twice, then put up a wayward three pointer all in the last 3 minutes. I truly believe he gets high before games. Jamaal and J.O. will always lack leadership. J.O. can hardly get a rebound 2 feet away from his reach. He is the worst franchise player in the league.

Everything from Zeeks era has to go! They tried to keep Artest Jamal& Jermaine but It couldn't work without him. Harrison's emotionally 11. J.O. & J.T. gotta go. And Larry needs better scouting!

I would rather see Tinsley come off the bench with the second unit. His scoring capability is good and would complement the second unit.

What games have you been watching? Tinsley's scoring capability stinks. His stats for the season so far are 23 for 74 in field goal percentage or 31% and 4 for 20 or 20% on three point attempts. That's good? He keeps throwing up bad shots when he is going against bigger players and is double teamed and doesn't have a chance to make it. He needs to learn how to pass and find the open man. He'll keep playing that way as long as they let him.

In the last three games as I've flipped channels over to watch a little of the Pacer Games, JT has played like he had been out all night. Adults maybe, mature not! REQUIRED BEDCHECKS and lights out! JT maybe on the court but not in the game. Trade him or just tell him to stay home or in his favorite night spot and watch the game on TV. He is worthless to the team!!!

I see the teams back to a two man team again. Tinsley & O'Neal. fourth quarter blues. Tinsley I still think he thinks he's Michael Jordon, when it's a known fact he couldn't even carry Jordons shoes. He drives down the middle and yes you guessed it he got it shoved down his throat every time but one. I only seen four times in the 4th quarter when someone else got their hands on the ball besides him. But whats new? Its been going on for the last four years, Until someone tells him this is a team sport. the results are going to be the same. Enough said.....

The Pacers will be a work in progress for years to come. Look how long the Celtics have been bad? Years....they finally traded for the right peices and, viola, they are undefeated. The season is going to be long, so get comfy. J.O. is pretty much cooked. I don't hink he will make much effort this year. Please, if they are still bad after the season, let Bird go. I think he has done enough for the Pacers.

Given the offensive prowess of this group, I am not sure that's a bad thing.

Just as J.O. refuses to speak with the media and show his leadership ability one more time, how can we keep calling his guy our team captain, and keep saying he is whom were building the team around.

Jermain is not a leader, look at the messes we have had to endure on and off of the court since Reggie handed the role of captain over to him. As a player he plays the post like a week forward and gives effort only when he is taken to task, definitely not frequent enough. Our posted up player only wants to do fade away jumpers and 10-12 footers any more, which bogs down our offence just as it did for Garnett in Minnesota. With him being so lazy when it comes to running up and down the court he is a dinosaur in this league for his position. A power forward with value is more like Stoudemire who run and takes it powerfully over people. With the new rules J.O. doesnít take it hard enough the basket and thatís weak and not very useful for his position.

We will win many more games with out him, I would give him away for nothing, don't get a big contract just try for a high draft pick. And if we wait long enough to trade him maybe we will have 2 high draft picks. Hoping for a competitive season, signing off

The headline in this column is, "Will the real Pacers stand up?". The real Pacers ARE standing up (or should I say "laying down"?) I said it yesterday in the postings --- we will lose the next four games (one gone already). They cannot play 48 minutes of hard nosed basketball. Still saying 3-6 after nine games.

"Some players made ultra-quick exits. Team captain Jermaine O'Neal refused to talk with the media."

We wouldn't want basketball to get in the way of their "club activities".

O'Neal is a legend in his own mind-poor excuse for a "leader".

this is the most fair weathered BS I've ever seen. We are only six games into the season. Seriously, why do you watch the games if all you do is complain? Its really annoying.

It looks like the Pacers are not in good enough physical shape to go 4 quarters. What are they going to do this week with 4 games in 5 days? Crash and burn!

After watching last night's game a few things are growing more and more obvious and as a result I'm gaining more and more confidence in this team's ABILITIES!

The first thing is the 46 pt first quarter. I remember times when the team of 2003-2004 went off a few games but I don't remember many games where they opened up with a 40+ pt first quarter and THEY WENT ON TO WIN 60+ games. The point is they CAN do it in spades.

The second thing is we attacked valiently on defense to start the game. We starting nodding off as a team in the third quarter. We didn't attack the basketball like we did in the first and second quarters. The point is we are learning a new tempo and the cardio isn't there yet, but if they continue to work hard every practice and between practices and before games like Reggie (and the great ones do) they will be fine.

Lastly, it was very discouraging to me as a fan to see so little encouragement from the stands. We as Pacers fans need to do a better job cheering the team and getting loud. Not when they're up by 25, but when they need some extra support (NBA's luodest 6th man)!

I have no doubt if the Pacers will tune out their past, and concentrate on doing what they did in the first quarter of last night's game, for 4 quarters, we're going to be the best in the league!

I don't put the blame on JO, JT, Danny, Murphy, Dunleavy, Foster, Marquis, Rush, Diener, ect ... the ideal here is to get better every game, and even though we're on a three game losing skid, they're starting to see the writing on the wall. We need to work on our cardio and ability to shoot the ball and defend for 49 minutes!
