blowout closes it out

WASHINGTON: Nobody closes the Verizon Center like the Cavaliers. For the third consecutive year, the Cavs finished off the Wizards on their own floor, scoring a 105-88 victory Friday to secure a 4-2 NBA Eastern ... Full Story

Here's an idea: Actually READ the post before making a comment on it. Don't read the first three lines, skip the actual meat of the post and then hit reply. The people who did that (and there were several) look like utter fools.
Thanks for your input also. I definetly don't feel like an utter fool, I just made a mistake. Thanks again for expressing how you really feel.

It's not a matter of guessing. Traveler was making a valid point about fair weather fans, you misunderstood it and basically told him to shut up. Now you are taking shots at me for calling you out. Get a grip.
I'm not taking shots at you for you so-called correcting me. I noticed that you been commenting on alot of peoples comments. As I said earlier, this is a board for people to give their opinions and you do need to chill out a bit. And for the record, your not the only one who's corrected me for my mistake.

By the way, if I wanted him to shut up, I would have said that.

Here's the deal. The three people I called out all took verbal shots at Traveler because they didn't take the time to READ his post. Your idea that I have a superiority complex, blah blah blah is way over the top. Given your repeated attempts to "educate" us on a freakin' Cavs' message board proves your hipocracy! Who has the superiority complex?
I, like most, get on here to talk about the Cavs' games. People who attack others when they incorrectly comprehend a post is unfair. They should be called out. Those who get on here and attempt to prove their intelligence through long-winded babble are just morons.
Go Cavs!
Go back and re-read your previous posts, J, Y, and myself weren't the only three that you, as you say, ATTACKED on this forum. I personally don't care because I can be corrected and I truly accept it with no hesitation what so ever. But you on the only hand, cannot. As my mother use to say, WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND. Just keep talking because you're doing great.

Thanks to all those who actually read my post. Gee whiz, I put in caps: NO TEAM LED BY LEBRON JAMES CAN EVER BE UNDERESTIMATED IN A PLAYOFF SERIES. Although I think that's pretty plain, for those who need translation it means that the Cavs have a player named LeBron James who is now despite his young age a veteran. He can turn up his already incredible game for the playoffs which is what players variously described as "big time" or "money" or "superstar" do (as opposed to, say, Dirk Dallas). That means you can put aside the regular season as warm-up because it's go and show time. Yes, the post was meant to SUPPORT the Cavs and caution those who rip the team and players after every loss. I didn't think it was all that subtle. Give it another reading, Yolanda, John, RPB, and pay attention to the wise words of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter in the middle: "Watch each card you play and play it slow."
Good Morning All! I see that this comment board was hot yesterday. CT, I apologize for telling you to shut up. I did misread your statement yesterday and didn't realize that you acting as the media. I'm very educated at to all of your backers I did excellent in High School and College and I honestly don't need a reading comprehension course. Thought that I should let you know that I re-read your post before I responded to you. If you like, let all of your backers know of my sincere apology.

Thank you kindly!

Do you and Skip Brainless have a clue. Both of you have been bashing Lebron for years. When he wins he is cheered, when he loses you guys get on him. I am just wondering when the double standard will end. Steve Nash won 2 MVP awards and has never been criticize. TMac gets the business all day everyday. You and most of the white media are racist. When are you guys are going to treat everyone the same. When are you guys going to judge everyone the same. I would like for you to prove me I am wrong. You are the same guy who has a problem with Jeremiah Wright, but can not say he did not tell the truth about anything he said. Debate if you dare. But I do not think you have the guts to say I am wrong about anything I said or lied
I'm not here to criticize the Rev. Wright, but the media that made such a much over his remarks, taking them out of context, and implying that Sen. Obama, by attending Wright's church, has "G** Damn America" in his heart. Actually, I agree with some of the Rev.'s opinions, and admire the Senator for absorbing them, processing them, and rising above the fear and anger to give ALL Americans a message of hope.
I'm not sure I ever got over the assassination of Dr. King, and have been angry at my country ever since. I used to be very socially active, but just sort of shut it down after MLK & RFK killings, the riots in my home town (Newark), and the sleazy actions of our government. I can only imagine the kind of anger I'd feel if I were black.
I would only wish that the Rev. Wright would understand the need to rise above his anger, and embrace the possibility of moving on to a better America, one of Hope, still always keeping an eye on the scoundrels in DC and the halls of corporate power. He has a pulpit that enables him to spread his message far and wide. It's time for a positive message. We should never forget the past, but we must heal the wounds and move forward.

You seem like you might be up to my intellect, so I'll try to have a conversation with you, just make sure you don't start firing off manifestos. Ok?
Questions about your post:
How does my dislike of you (you're a tool) qualify as hypocrisy?
You make a wordworks/woodshed slight (I get it, funny, they sound similar) and then reference my supposed banality. Pot, kettle.
Lastly, how does banality prove your conjecture, or did you just hope you'd get a pass on words you picked up from a calendar.
In order to get you clued in and improve your intellect( as much as you might believe it otherwise due to your ingrained superiority complex), here is a dissection of your posts: The use of the modern day slang "tool" is derogatory in that it is used to imply the person's a d**khead or is good for nothing other than populating with his member. Or that the person can be manipulated by anyone, especially the state since the person is so dim that anyone can use that person.

The woodworks/woodshed mention is a play on words of your "tool" mention.

Your statement was banal in that it showed no originality( implying cleverness to give hint of your supposed semantic intellect) and in fact was hypocritical because the modern day tools usually use expired and cliche' one liner drive by's in their posts which you performed as well as the "tool".

I don't have more than a couple of min right now but will be happy to expand later but I'll leave you with this:

unless you have a Physics/IT background and are constructing a Film screenplay while doing technical options/equities stochastic/RSI based trading and working on a theoretical construct to disprove the inconsistencies within Quantum mechanics as you jet set around the world working on a critical IT Government contract, do not insult me by implying we have equal intellect.

Only a tool would presume that.

This is, by far, the greatest masturbatory statement I have EVER read on topix. Kudos.
