Why would we add a past his prime, ageing SG to a rebuilding project?

I have a hard time loving Darco, who helped the Wolves win exactly one game. Big Al is the only proven scoring threat on the present squad. I preferred Cousins to Johnson due to his upside. Throwing all our cap space on Darco does not seem wise. I didn't love the Webster trade either. There is a reason these players ride pine!
That said, Kahn has assembled young talent that could develop in time. Flynn is a fine player under almost any other coach.(Ditch that sorry triangle! Jordan and Kobe do not live here.) Johnson gives us a scorer that Brewer really hasn't proven himself to be. Throw in Beasely and Elington and there is much potential there.
I prefer Big Al to Love due to Love's poor attitude at coming off the bench. However, trading Big Al for the right player may prove a good move as he is a proven, but over-paid player, and he is young and has some trade value.
I do not want more cap space in exchange for big Al if all the Wolves plan to do with this accumulation of cap space is sign other team's rejects. I am becoming cautiously optimistic that we could win upto 18 games next year. The biggest difference next year will not be the wins and losses but the upside of the players produsing those wins and losses.

The team has seriously lacked talent in most areas. They are adding some nice talent and the national press 'still can't figure out WHAT the team is doing'...?? How many at this position, how many at that position.. Da, how is that possible. The Wolves must not know what they're doing." Let's trash them some more.
GET A CLUE! Smart job by Khan. He knows what he's doing afterall. Now, let's not give away Al... Only trade for equal value. Yeha!!! We're improving already. That's all we want.--- steady improvement.

Here's a trade idea. How about we trade Love for O.J. Mayo. The wolves don't have a clue what they're doing and they're going the wrong way about building a winning team. If you look at the teams that have been winning the title the last three years. Lakers and Celtics. What do they have in common? They have a superstar shooting guard and a superstar power forward. We have the forward, now we need a star shooting guard. O.J. Mayo would have been the best chance at that. Instead we go and get Love who is a enhanced Mark Madsen at best. Sheesh. GO LAKERS!! Minnesota's ORIGINAL team.

MN should trade AL & Corey 2 Dallas, then a 1st rounder 2 Det.

Dallas will send Dampier 2 Det 4 cap relief & in return send Gordon 2 MN.

If Kahn can pull this off, we're only ONE season away from contending again. This would be a nice up & coming lineup.(Gordon's 27, but that's fine)

PG- Flynn then Sessions
SG- Gordon then Ellington
SF- Webster then Johnson
PF- Love then Beasley
C- Darko then Pekovic

If the Wolves trade a first round pick to the Heat, that pick will be the lottery winner and the Heat will get the first choice in the draft. Take it to the bank...

I like the trade for Beasley. We're stockpiling talent. Rarely does building a team from the ground up go smoothly. We can't simply analyze each move in sequence and make a snap judgement whether everything is immediately falling into place. I like the above idea of acquiring Ben Gordon, but the trade is essentially Jefferson and Brewer AND a future first rounder to get Gordon and I think that's too steep. Jefferson for Gordon straight up sounds better to me.
Just think...last year we had Gomes, Wilkens and A. Tucker at SF. Now we have W. Johnson, M. Webster, Hayward and Beasley who could all play there. WOW! That's a MASSIVE upgrade. The Wolves are doing a great job this off season and there's more to come.

let's be the first team in history to start five forwards! In fact, cut everybody else and have twelve forwards on the roster.

It looks like Jefferson leaving for nothing. The Mavericks are said to be turning down a deal of Jefferson for Dampier's voidable contract. Well now the Suns, Jazz, Raptors and Cavs have trade exceptions big enough to take on Jefferson's contract without giving up any salary. If the Wolves are really looking to just dump Jefferson's contract, one of those teams will bite. Hopefully, the Wolves will hold out for a bit more-- like 1 or 2 1st round picks.

That wouldn't be a fair deal on our end. Wolves actually got that one right. Mayo is not a superstar. Love has the opportunity to lead the league in rebounding if he starts. Guys who average over 10+ reb a game in no more than 30 min are hard to come by. Mayo will always play on a losing team and doesn't make anyone else around him better. Trade Jefferson and Flynn for a true point guard.

In all fairness to Mr. Kahn, he did inherit what could kindly be called a "train wreck" when he took over for McHale. He also has the disadvantage of being in a market that isn't attractive to the average NBA player these days. As a result, he is basically starting over. Right now, I will say that he's making some interesting moves, and hoefully things will shake out for the best.

What was the point of this article, to fill up the paper because it's just a rehash of what everyone already know???? Maybe someone should go back to journalism school!

and then send that pick over to the clippers so wolves will not have to give up sending their own future first.
