I believe Joey D. will make a reasonable offer to Mr. Billups, probably similar to Ben's offer, but definately not the max. Whether Chauncey stays or goes is up to Chauncey. What needs to happen is to aquire a pure point gaurd in the off season, nothing against Lindsey, but he hasn't been the answer since Mike James left.

Hire Bill Laimbeer!

What do you say about the loss of a dream? Do you forget your dream, or do you look forward to that moment in time when dreams come true. We lost our dream. But what about the actors in our dream? Not only did they not win the trophy, but the realization that they also have to live with is the heartache. Give them a break, let Joe do his job, and then we CHEER THEM ON AGAIN IN NOVEMBER.

Great idea Milton : I totaly agree : hire Bill Laimbeer.
In this case, the core of the group don't even need to be brooken (exit sheed none theless).
If you want to do something big, bring on kobe for sheed or rip, and with laimbeer, it would be the start of a new story, with a new motivation.(just think about : chauncey and kobe as the greatest back court and the best "one two punch" in the league!!)
Keep C webb, he is important for the young players coming next year...and keep chauncey, he will be back with a vengeance....
