Sometimes you hear a story that's so perfect at shrinking the big business of sports down to human size it needs to be shared.

Wonderful story Dave...I've always thought that many of the Heat ballplayers are really classy guys and we just don't hear much about any of their charitable efforts other than those of Alonzo and Dwayne (which are pretty impressive)...Daequan is right up there with them, thanks Daequan...

Trying to hold back tears while reading this story at work. Truly a young man (Cook) who took his mother's advice to remember where he came from, no matter where his profession takes him. If this was a story about an athlete getting arrested or raping someone, there would be a few hundred posts already. Give the young man his props. Dave, nice story. It's nice to know there are athletes doing things of this nature. To often all we get is the bad news, which is what typically sells. I'd much rather hear the good stories. They give us all a sense of comfort.
