Is this gamesmanship? Have you ever played poker Otis? Sheesh! even if it is a long shot you don't show your cards to everyone. It makes the fans feel like you don't give a shite!???

Its obvious though. If Elton Brand stays with the Clips, the Warriors are prepared to offer Corey $10 mill/year, something he won't pass up.

Dooling can step up off the bench and if given more play time and a starter, will perform. Plus, the guy is polished and has class which I can't say is always so true of the lime light players. Dwight is a very refreshing-poised young man. Dooling is right there with him. Character HAS to count for something withe the performance, at least in a smaller town like Orlando.

Otis "I'm happy with our team the way it is," and "J.J. Reddick and Fran Vasquez are not failures," Smith,is hands down the worst GM in the league.

Um no, I do believe the Grizzlies GM is worse. At least Otis hasn't traded away our best player for nothing.

I heard the Sonics are looking to trade away wilcox and ridnour.. The magic should just sign one really good player for the Full Mid level then try to package an offer for Wilcox and Ridnour without giving up our core players!

Maggette is now apparently looking to sign with the Celtics, it reunites him with Doc Rivers, and apparently Maggette is willing to take a cut in pay, this according to Pardon the interuption on ESPN today. I dont see how Ridnour would help the Magic, we do not need another small PG who doesnt excell on the defensive end. Wilcox could be a good addition though. oh well two days away from the FA signings, wonder what the front office has up their sleeves
GO MAGIC!!!!

Well apparently Brand wanted the Clippers to get Davis then he had agreed to come back at less money so the two could be on the same team.
The Warriors almost put a damper on that, but it looks like after a pause from Brand that he will go back to the Clippers.
As a fallback the Warriors are seriously looking at Corey and Dooling. Since both players have the same agent it makes it easier for the Warriors to work out a deal with both players and at more money then the Magic would be able to pay (Corey) or willing (Dooling.
And here some more imformation about the Magic's free agents Carlos is being courted by Denver to name one the teams approaching him plus Evans is being courted by the Greek team that he played for awhile ago. The Greek team would pay Evans more then the Magic are willing too so that would mean that the Magic might just lose all of their own free agents they were thinking about keeping.
And losing all of the free agents they were thinking about.
In Duhon's case the Magic said they were interested, but failed to actually present him with a contract, because they wanted Corey and that has backfired on Otis.
Otis didn't want to pay 200 thousand for a second round draft pick and it hurt the Magic and now his actions in free agency look to hurt the Magic even more.
As almost every team in the East has improved through the draft only Atlanta truly didn't because they didn't have a draft pick and the Magic didn't do all that well either. Only those in the I love Lee camp think that Magic did well.
It should be mentioned that every site I checked said that Lee was not a first round pick, but a second that the only reason some of them moved him to the first round was because the Magic had announced that they were going to pick him.
So the Magic missed on getting a solid big man and yes they missed out on a pg in the draft so that they could get a second rounder in the first round.
So Otis how do you plan on fixing all of this or are you just going to sit and watch the action and see how it plays out!???!!

Dude, If you know all this, why the hell aren't you working for ESPN, or SI.com or something? Either you're just talking out of the side of your neck or you know some stuff, no one else knows, or could ever know.

Actually everything I mentioned has already been posted in several articles. It just sounds like you both need to read better or learn to do some research. It didn't take me long to find most of this information.
So no I am not talking out the side of my neck I just seem to know more then the two of you. Sounds like your basketball I.Q. is wanting and you really need to fix that problem.
BTW it's really easy if you know how to do research on the internet, but ..........I see that kind of work is too hard for you since he requires using your brain.

Almost sounds like your giving up on the magic phill..If they dont get to resign dooling and miss out on maggette,,they still has the mle and the ve. there are still options out there that can help this team. help meaning contend for the 3spot in the east anyhow,,nothing that will get them over the hump.. Pietrus, millsap, jason williams,,,there is still some options..I actually think that if they cant sign maggette and resign dooling(which they could easily sign them both if maggette decides winning is better than an extra few mill,,and we could sign dooling with bird rights), they should go NOT make any offseason moves and use that money, plus the money they save by not picking up stiffs like garity,arroyo,EVENS..JJ,Lee,tu rk will have to man the two spot,,,with the line up they had last year they still are the third best in the east,,despite the moves other teams made. Save that money for next free agency when there are better options. T-mac,d-wade,lebron,kobe,bosh, richard jefferson,so on and so forth,,,we have options to play in next seasons free agency if we use sign and trade options and save some money,,,I'm sure T-mac will not require another max deal,,Rj wont require a max deal,,maybe its time to forget about this weak crop and settle for being the 3rd best in the east again(hell, its better than what weve been the last decade)and look to play it big 09. Pipe dream?

Actually I will never give up on the Magic, though I do believe that I have reached my end with Otis. I used to think the knew what he was doing now I more inclined that he is not the person who should be GM. I think that Dave would handle that much better.

I think otis' good moves outweigh his bad,,Getting rid of steve o and his salary for trevor and penny's expiring salary was genius!!!The Rashard move was a good move in my opinion,,if we didnt sign him to a max, houston would have. The darko move was iffy,,he did ok while he was here,,and any gm would choose signing lewis over keeping darko..the thing is ,,he is very tight lipped..he may have something big brewing that we dont know about..no one had a clue about billy donovan untill the day it happened..every report last year had vince carter coming to orlando instead of rashard..I'd take otis over quit a few gm's,,,I think the gm is not the prob with orlando actually,, I think its the wallet..we've had some pretty good gm's in the past,,the only bonehead i think is weisfraud..The orlando gm's never had much to work with,,never had the option of going over the luxury tax much,,look at lakers, celtics, new york,,the owners will give the gm's the ability to go into the tax,,not orlando though..it could be worse,,we could have the memphis gm chris wallace or kevin mchale of the t-wolves calling the shots..

I agree,,,but sign who with the mle..also we have the ve and can resign dooling with bird rights. maybe make a trade for wilcox or ridnour(preferrably wilcox) and offer the mle to maggette,,if he turns us down split it between maybe pietrus and jamal magloire,, get jason williams with the ve..we have a few expiring contracts that will be tradable,,cook,jj,gortat, bogan s,, though the trade will only be for either wilcox or ridnour,,not both,,there contracts are both over six mill,,all of our expiring contracts combined will not meet that. JJ and Cook will work for wilcox(as far as money is concerned,, not sure if OKLAHOMA CITY would go for that trade,,I dont see why not,,it takes a big salary off their hands for money that will not be around for long),,We have options to help us get better!!
