The Wolves need a lock down defender. Someone you can put on the other teams best player and stop him from scoring. They also could use a three point shooter who can hit from any where on the floor. That will free up the inside for Love and Company. If we get those two players in this draft they'll be a contender soon.

After securing a buyout from the New York Knicks, Brewer became one of the most desirable free agents for his athleticism and defensive versatility. Most of the NBA’s contenders – including Boston, San Antonio and Dallas – pursued the 6-foot-9 forward over the past several days.

I guess the wolves never want to consider themselves contenders,
KAHN should be Fired!
If Boston, San Antonio and Dallas are after there is good reason, thats why they are good teams they recognize the value in team players.

I agree that as a general rule all NBA salaries are too high. With that in consideration, I think Love is the future for the wolves, and worth something along the lines mentioned in the article. The guy plays hard, he wants to win, and he will lead the NBA in rebounding this year, and probably rank in the top 3 for pretty much the rest of his career. Love is adding a little shake and bake to his offensive game and continually gets around 20 points, usually on about 10 shots (with free throws making up the difference). The guy has a really good outside shot and seems to have a very high basketball IQ.

The negatives are that he is 6'8 in stocking feet, and is not overly athletic, so tall, agile defenders are going to give him problems (guys like Griffin, Gasol, and KG). The lack of athleticism makes him a below average interior defender.

I am not sure what some of you guys want. Here is a guy, 22 years old, third year in the league, leading the league in rebounding by a wide margin, and scoring at a 21 ppg clip. It isn't all Love's fault that the team is young and inexperienced, and generally loses. The team is in almost every game, unlike last year.

Call me a homer, but if you can't see some of these things you had best book an appointment with your family Optometrist first thing tomorrow morning.

Can you say overrated? This guy only cares about recording double doubles and they don't win games. Waste of money. Trade him now and rubio while their values are still high.

Kevin Love has the most consecutive double-doubles since MOSES MALONE (50 games, 1978-79)!! I repeat - MOSES MALONE. You don't achieve that kind of thing unless you're a pretty darn good player. Within reach are Kareem Abdul-Jabar (51) and Elvin Hayes (55). So for anyone who thinks Kevin Love is a "chump" or whatever, you don't know what you're talking about.

Oh, and we're not even talking about Love's production of 3-pointers this season, or his general likability. All these factor in to the total package.

Yeah, obviously the T-Wolves as a whole are bad, but K-Love is a bright spot. And he's only 22 years old. Players don't come around like this all that often.

I think that correcting grammar on an internet forum is pointless and childish. Especially when the corrections appear limited to homophones (words that sound the same but have different spellings and meanings). It is pretty clear what a person intended to say when they use "there" instead of "they're". It is obvious that you intend to insult the posters by jabbing at their benign grammatical errors. The part that is actually "hilarious" though, is that you miss your intent, and instead make yourself look foolish. If you still insist on such petty corrections, make sure that your own posts are grammatically flawless. I can easily find 5 grammar mistakes in your 9 word statement above. Pot, meet Kettle.

$70 million? For putting a round ball in a round hole? But, come to think of it, I'd have to get that kind of coin to wear that rediculous outfit in public. Short, baggy pants? Wife beater shirt? Ick...
Well, maybe he can afford a haircut now instead of that self-trimmed mess he has now... I'm just saying....
