Four great games and then these last two. What ails this group??? Someone needs to step up and get in their grill and stop this lackadaisical play. A leader on the team needs to emerge - I don't care who it is, but they need to get going. Clearly Rambis isn't motivating them when they come out and play like they did in the first half. It's up to a team member to lead - both vocally and by example. Jefferson has had two and a half years to do it and hasn't - and probably never will. I don't know if Love has the temperament and Gomes doesn't seem the type either. Say what you will about Garnett. If someone was slacking off, he didn't waste any time. He let them know about it and what he thought of it. That's what we need right now. Someone to jack them up each and every time they play like they did early on tonight.

Weirdest article I've ever read. It starts at the end of the game and describes the entire game backwards.

Maybe this article should have been called "Memento", but then again, perhaps you never saw the movie and are wondering what the hell I am talking about.
I haven't seen the last two games, and am perhaps making a "reach" here, but is Love sulking because he isn't starting? Just asking a question, not claiming that is the case. It seems to me that McHale's grand experiment of Love and Jefferson playing side-by-side is not working out all that well. The problem isn't on offense, where their skills complement each other nicely, but rather on defense, where neither can defend (as someone said over on the "strib") a folding chair. I have some faith in Kahn and I do believe that he has some sort of plan, as compared to McHale, who was borderline clueless. As this season wears on it looks more and more apparant that either Love or Jefferson should be dealt, provided that the team could obtain either a quality center (I know, I know, there are none available) or quality small forward in return.
The "flatness" that this team exhibited in the first halve is inexcusable. The coaching staff can only do so much. It is up to the players to show some urgency and professionalism.
If you haven't seen "Memento", and like things that are a bit quirky, rent it.

I was guessing before I read the article that because the team lost Mr. Rambis would be referring to them as "they."
I was right.
It has become a simple formula that speaks volumes about both his coaching style and his relationship to the team: When they win, he refers to them as "we." When they lose he refers to them as "they."
This is not zen master. In fact, he needs a few basic lessons in human relations.

Just keep losing, we need a nice pick again. Maybe we can actually grab someone who will contribute this time.
#6 Feb 11, 2010
Don't worry this team is assured of high picks for years to come. Flynn is mediocre, Brewer can't shoot and Big Al and Love have no idea what defense is.

lol, well dont hang your heads, you got it right 13 times so far after a half season.....

When they play "with" each other, they are pretty decent. I just wish they could bring it every game. I hope they didn't gt complacent after the 4-game streak.(How many in a row constitutes a streak?) They can't depend on their fourth quarter runs to win games for them. That rash of turnovers at one point was inexcusable! I would have benched the lot of them!
Bench whoever isn't playing hard and let the guys who want to play get in there and mix it up. If the ones on the bench don't like it, they know what they have to do to get off the bench. I'd start getting really tough on some of the slackers. Most guys would give anything to be on the floor - those are the ones who would play - no matter where they are on the salary scale.

trade jefferson to okc thunder for thomas and harden.
harden is going to be a star.
jefferson could give the thunder the inside game that would make their offense hard to stop.

Hey, it could be worse. We could be the Nets.

ehhh, I count it as a win. Improving is winning. Yeah, Love has sucked
lately; butter fingers, turnovers, low rebounds. I hope he's not one of those
pouters that whines because he's are not starting. Kevin, it doesn't matter
whether you start or don't start. People look at your game and stats to
see if you're a star, not which minutes you played. You're still playing
as many minutes as A.Jeff.
Same thing goes for Jonny. If you're doing what you're supposed to be doing
as a PG, the first thing you do is make the members of your team better by
setting the table for them. That's what made Magic Johnson great. There'll
be plenty of cake left for you.
The other guys were in the game because they know the other guys wearing
the uniform are their teammates; an extension of their own bodies. You
can be teammates, too. Do your best to make your teammates look good,
and you will look good.
Stop whining and get to work. If you guys worked hard, you'd have 30 wins
