Timberwolves lay an egg, get scrambled by Sacramento

There are 9 comments on the TwinCities.com story from Dec 12, 2009, titled Timberwolves lay an egg, get scrambled by Sacramento. In it, TwinCities.com reports that:

A night after playing some inspired basketball in a loss to the defending NBA champions, the Timberwolves laid an egg in a winnable game against another Western Conference also-ran. Jason Thompson led five Sacramento players in double figures with 23 points as the Kings hammered Minnesota 120-100 in front of a meager crowd Saturday at Arco Arena.

I would love to get behind this team, but..

they hardly show any effort.

Judging from the time lapse between your post and mine,,,no one cares anyway. Glen Taylor=proven idiot. Good thing for the NBA or there would be a lot of tall janitors.

Boy, is the jury out on Rambis' attempt to fit this team into his vaunted "triangle" offense. This is the poster child team for the eternal sports dilemma of whether you fit the players to the system or the system to the players. I hope he's right, but I keep hearing the echoes of Phil Jackson's tepid endorsement of Rambis as a potential head coach.

Old Nordic saying go like this...." No sense going to MacDonald's they show pictures of Hamburgers and Fries, but they got none."......
T-Wannabees dress like NBA players but they got no skills.

Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. "We're young", "We're tired", "We need time." What you need is a new GM and a new coach.

And a new owner. Get rid of the whole bunch of 'em.

What am I doing even commenting on this team? Guess it's winter in Mn. and many activities curtailed?

Hey look on the bright side, they may actually get the right ping pong ball next year and get the top pick, but with this team's luck they will still probably draft 5th of 6th. There is hardly a thing that has gone right with this team in its 20 year existence.

Please, someone make the team's plane crash, we can start our team over like the Marshall football team then. We'd at least have some sympathy then!!!!
