It's abundantly clear, to anyone with eyes, that Riley has gone from a taskmaster who drove his players with no mercy (and little wisdom, if you recall how Hardaway used to make it to the playoffs limping, because he was pushed too far) to the other extreme. The new easy-going attitude has the team fat and lazy, and entirely unprepared for the start of the season. Maybe the coach should remember that the great chemistry that brought the championship only appeared for the last 19 games of the playoffs; it was not nearly as apparent in the first 86, including the first four Bulls games. Who's to say that it will return? What should be feared, and apparently isn't, is complacency -- in a team that is a year older, and has done very little to refresh itself and get new energy. I, for one, would not be surprised to see the Heat chasing Washington for a top seeding....and maybe even ending up as a 4 or 5, which might give them three extra-tough playoff series on the way to the final, if they even have a chance to get there.

Relax its only preseason. Wade scored 26 effortlessly.

Of the three rookies, Quinn, Grier and Hite, I think Hite is the least valuable. We definetly need Quinn until Jason Williams comes back. Grier provides great Defense and can rebound. Hite is just a small streaky shooting guard with no defensive ability. Kapono is better than Hite.
