Shaq's back! (But will he be embraced?)

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

There will be an embrace Wednesday night. Whether it's a warm embrace from the crowd is another issue.

Shaq has finally realized - I mean what does it take?- that if he doesn't get off his long time lazy butt, he will lose the millions of dollars flowing to him simply because he is "Shaq". There are few examples in recent sports history of a more arrogant, lazy, under-performing "athlete" that Shaq. He is an embarrassment the past few years. But then, he can get away with it because he is "Shaq". I hope his career is soon over, because I know he is too lazy to keep it up.

It is a game. Nothing more. Anyone who really gets bent out of shape because he left really needs to look in the mirror. I feel sorry for the fools who live their lives vicariously through the results of their hometown team. It must suck.

Great players are measured by championships...not stats. Shaq has 4 rings..scoreboard. Get off his ass.

I heard he's laid more pipe in NBA cities around the country than the Department of Transportation. No wonder he has so many kids - I wonder if how many of them he actually knows about. What a piece of shit

Thank you!!! It is just a game... But many fail to realize that. I mean outside of basketball, Shaq is a great philanthropist who helps the misfortune. That should be more important than what he said about Pat Riley. New Revolution I cosign on your comment.

Anybody think Shaq's recent reemergence has anything to do with his return to steroid use?

I used to like Shaq but the way he left was childish and lacked class. I have a very low opinion of him now.

Shaq has a big butt which is excusable, but his mouth was even bigger than that when he left. He acted like a punk, with name calling, laziness, and immaturity his last season. This will not be forgetten or forgivin. Those of you going to the game BOO him.

funny how he did the exact same thing to the lakers...but when he arrived in miami as a member of the heat, all the heat fans looked past that... now that he is gone, and did the same thing, heat fans hate him...seems kinda hypocritical to me

to all who think its just a game

and to those who think its not a big deal

read this

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/columnists...

Shaqs a punk

he refused to play for the Heat
he quit on us, saying he had all these injuries that magically disapeared when he left and then trashed us on his way out

if he would have played for us like how he is playing for the Suns, we would be a championship contending team last year and this

he got 2 coaches fired .. Van Gundy and Di Antoni

I would boo him, but im not WASTING 1 cent to go see that punk

I hope he breaks his ankle

PUNK!!

Great, you quoted a guy who shot himself in the head...I dont blame EH for blasting his face off though, if my 3 recreational interests were motor racing, mountain climbing, and bullfighting, i would probably shoot myself too

I'll clap a few times for 2006 and thats it, why bother booing? We knew he was a mercenary when we got him. If you want to hate him then say nothing when his name gets announced. As for me, I'll thank him for the championship and for taking the spotlight away from Wade until Wade was ready for it.

We were very fortunate to have ever had you here in Miami!- Thank you so much Shaq for winning us the Championship!!!! Couldn't have done it without you!! We've really missed you. Also, thank you for all the good deeds & works of kindess you did for those in need while you were here! You're a man of character, something you don't see alot of in sports - nor elsewhere. We no longer have any role models for our children. Our community really needs someone like you for some uplifting from all the recent 24/7 gloom/doom we didn't have when you were here. You're a great athlete and we'd be very lucky if you decide to return to South Florida!
