Ira can you please tell pat Riley to open up the offense, I know you can't do it but this guy coaching is starting look like Bush. Clueless. Miami struggle because there's no early offense of fast breaking, you have the tools. Get the ball up the court. Miami offense sucks, sucks i tell you and they're walk the ball up the court and try to run crap against a set defense. Nobody can get in a rhythm because nothing is coming easy and there are a world of jump shots. Where's the body movement or ball movement?? Everybody standing around waiting for Wade to come through the tunnel and save this garbage which even superman himself can't.

I give up

Hoping that Wade is the salvation is hoping in vain. Sure, they will win some games, with Wade playing too much and possibly reaggravating his injury.

Well Penny looked like he belongs out there. He's gonna be a big help. Smush still sucks and whats up with Blout? He looked like Antoine Walker out there chuckin' bricks and resting on defense. Dorrel Wright would be a very good college player. This team is gonna be deep in the well before they can get it together.

I agree with you on this. I know they are trying to go easy on Shaq but you can't turn the game into a game of H-O-R-S-E. We don't have the shooter for that anyway.

"we can't sustain". Rileyspeak for "we friggin stink." There waiting for Wade. Can't even compete without him. What a coaching job Riles, you Hasbeen. Great personnel work too. Now we have another crapout on our hands. Go Heat and take the Dolphins & Marlins with you.

I AGREE FULLY ....
Penny played good defense, had 5 assists, was 3-6 shooting, and got the ball to shaq in a scoring position...

Get Quinn back into the rotation! Quinn and dwade in the backcourt is the ticket. If you don't, Quinn may get restless with the whole situation and just chuck it all for a HUGE contract in China.

I am not trying to defend them, but I am just tired of everyone's assessment that the Heat are too old, too slow, too lazy. I saw some great moments; great teamwork; great defense last night--against none other than last year's Champs with an intact/healthy team. It's amazing how when a team loses, everyone is an expert and breaks down every negative! I think there are a lot of new pieces, and it's just taking time for them to jell. Its 82 games in a season man!

I have no idea what's wrong with this team, and Wade cannot be used as an excuse.

Last year they went on a 9 game wining streak without him. You mean to tell me that can't win ONE freakin game!

What's scarier is that teams can pull away from them at will. It's amost as if every team they've played has a gear they don't have.

I see this team as constructed right now as a 6,7, or 8 seed getting bounced in the first round.

I guess one idea is the lack of production from Shaq. He can't rebound, he can't shoot free throws and he's more often than not, in foul trouble.

When your highest paid player can't do the above mentioned, your team has and will continue to have serious problems.

Let's face it fans, Shaq is getting paid for his previous 4 championships, and it's been put on our tab!

This is the Heat's real preseason games due to the # of training camp injuries and the last minute trade. It is coming together and this is a 82 game season not 16 like the NFL so I don't understand the panic.

The main thing I disagree with Riley on is this one-track idea on defense that he has. So far no team has scored more than 91 against us and by today's NBA rules that is damn good defense already.

The problem I see is that there are just too many half court sets still in the offense. J-Will is better with a motion offense, so is Rickey. Wright is not an isolation player either but a slasher & cutter. Even Shaq needs to move, use his feet, get in the paint quicker. Riley is just too stuck in the defensive schemes which as I said are working pretty well.

The NBA rules right now, will encourage the type of games that Parker and Ginobilli played just as it benefits Wade when he is attacking. I just don't understand why Riley for all his genius has not come to turns with that. Stan VG and even Rothstein last year ran a little more on offense and the Heat made runs. With all the 'tape' that he watches he has to see that.
