congratulations to CQ and to the Heat

He'll do the dirty work and do it like a man, w/o complaining, getting into trouble, or coming to a game high as a kite.

the Heat showed some smarts today.

it was overlooked a lot...but let me point out that during the first two months or so during last season, the Heat were losing games by 1-5 points, not getting blown out like they were after two months. And during that first two months, they won close to 70% of the games that Quinn started instead of Davis. This does not mean Quinn is Hardaway or Isaih Thomas, but it does mean that Quinn can run a team under the pre-designed game plan and not let the game get out of hand like it usually did when Wade or Davis ran wild. That is what I like about Quinn and Chalmers. They both seem to keep the game under control. Hopefully, Quinn and Chalmers and Banks can all continue to improve.

It was really odd, but they did, in fact, win most games when Quinn started, even while they were only winning handful of games. I think Spoelstra is going to like a guy like Quinn who runs the team according to the game plan and not be self-indulgent like a lot of NBA players. Quinn knows his limitations, unlike other great NBA athletes, and that makes him understand that the only way he becomes successful in NBA is that the team has to be successful, a lot like John Paxon and Steve Kerr.

Come on,there are lots of point guards out there better than Quinn.
It's just that he is willing to play at less money than the rest. Do they think that NBA fans were born yesterday? Come on!!

Thanks. But will he really be unrestricted if he opts out? Check the CBA. Thanks.

I think that Quinn can bring some solid competition to the PG mix internally, but I am putting my money on Super Mario starting the season at PG and proving the Nay-sayers wrong. I have watched him for the past 4 years, 3 at Ku and 1 in Alaska, and he is the real deal. Defense if his strong suit, and if you missed it (08-NCAA FINALS,07-Big-12 Championship) he has proved that he is willing to take the big shot and make others pay for doubting him.

C-pick one and tell him to get out of the way on offense and play some D
