so like, I still see huge holes at center and point guard, sure we might not have enough to get a better option at both positions but I dont think this team can afford to go into the season with both holes.

yea i know mourning is a good possibility but he is risky as far as injuries and he can only do so much cause his age.

Get Mourning, and look for a veteran point guard who can split minutes with Chalmers, who I think could be a huge spark off the bench.

Good signing.

Dorrell Wright is the next Scottie Pippen.

Yeah right. He's a bum so far but hopefully he wont play scared under coach Spo like he did under riley.

If he could be a 14ppg/6rpg/3apg/1.5bpg type of player while using his very good man-to-man defense guarding the other teams best player and running with us as his great athleticism.......

then he would be a good starting SF to grow with this teams young core (Wade (superstar), Beasley (star 2nd option and lowpost monster), Chalmers (starting pg), Cook(6th man), Banks (backup pg), Jones (sharpshooter off bench, backup SF), Haslem(first big off bench), Anthony(backup center)) and make Marion expendable to land us a young starting center in a trade.

Get em up and running Spo. Lets go win some games!

Trade Marion for Steve Blake (starter at PG until midseason when Chalmers can take ovr) and Channing Frye (Great fit as starting Center of the future to grow with our core...... great midrange stroke to open up floor for Beasley and Wade... very fast and athletic to run with us... very good defender and shotblocker.... 7footer... good hands, good athlete to finish above rim... only 23 years old and has shown promise)

That would be a great core...... as long as Dorrell can finally grow up and replace Marion.

According to Yahoo NBA teams are cleared to sign some Iranians... why don't they(Heat) try to inquire about the Iranian center Ehadadi for about 2 years? if it didn't work out they'll have to try lure some free agent at that year which is 2010( where the most coveted free agents are available).

It is smart that the heat signed Wright

All the heat need is a center so they can waive Joel Anthony and then they can get a better center

If the heat fixes up their team a little then I think they can go to the finals

I think it was a GREAT move in bringing back Dorell. He's a guy who has a world of potential that might have been fulfilled had Riles & Van Gundy not been afraid to use him. He has "Marion" like abilities-a guy that plays bigger than his frame. Hopefully, Coach Spo understands this. He can play either the 2 or 3 positions, rebounds, blocks shots, play defense & has an offensive game that if used correctly will even compare to Wade.

dont compare Dorrell to Wade on offense. That is just silly.
Dorrell could be a point-forward and lockdown defender though that rebounds and blocks shots too and CAN score.
He's definitely got mad potential. Great running the floor, above-the-rim-athlete, good handle, smooth jumper out to 20 feet(get the 3point range and we're talking BIGTIME), good first step, improved finisher at the rim, good defender, great man-up defender, good rebounder, can block shots, hustles, good passer....
Get him in there baby!
