On your mark, get set, go. The most anticipated offseason in sports history got under way at the stroke of midnight last night - well, 9p.m. in our neck of the woods - but if you think the clock striking 12 marks the end of the wild speculation about where LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will end up playing next year, you can forget about ...

So were are suppose to ignore who the owner is, and that he doesn't scare everyone away?

This is easily the most ridiculous article about free agency I've read yet.

The Clippers' non-existent hopes of getting LeBron, Bosh or Wade have nothing to do with "It's the Clippers, they are cursed, they don't have any history, they play in the shadow of the Lakers, blah, blah, blah." You think a max free agent cares about any of those things? No, of course not - it's all about Donald Sterling! Elite players want to play for a first-class organization, and the Clips have spent the past 20+ years being the exact opposite of that. And the one constant, through all the management, coaches, and players, has been the crazy man upstairs.

THAT'S why no elite player wants to come here. And frankly, it's inconceivable to me that the author wouldn't even mention Sterling's name in this article. Talk about tiptoeing around the elephant in the room!

The Clips have been the most dysfunctional NBA team for decades. The NBA should strong arm Sterling to sell the team to someone who is willing to make an effort to compete. The NBA is a cartel that needs competition from all its members, for the good of all its members. Someone indeed must finish last but not every year for 30 years.

Sorry, but when you say "..they are the Clippers.." I think it's pretty well understood it means the entire organization, which obviously includes the owner.
