It looks like it's now time to officially change the Magic mantra for the playoffs.

first off ok the magic lost the game being truthful anyone saying that the magic were on the pistons level in the first place is crazy. not to take the fact away that they could beat the pistons yes sure they could have, however it is not the talent that is defeating the magic it is the mind that is defeating them, they are taking themselves out of every game that tey have lost. would it help if we had more bangers other than dwight sure would it help if jameer rose 4 inches sure would it help if the team as been together longer sure everyone can tie all those factors plus more into it but the point is the magic let themselves get side tracked in the game getting there mind off the goal at hand while the game is in progress and thats why they are losing but regardless this is a major improvement from last season we just need to fill the holes we have in the roster and add some mental tuffness if the magic lose the series oh well honestly who had them going to the finals this year this team is on the up will continue to get better as time goes on and def within the next 3 seasons i see a ring in orlando

My god - Mike B just being my favorite columnist.

That was the best and most accurate thing he has ever written.

Good for you Mike! Bravo!

Typical Mike, he'll write an article one day praising the Magic and talking them up and even defending them at times, then he turns on them when they lose and makes a mockery, if his job is that easy, well damn I should become a writer, but I'm not sure my writing skills maybe too overrated :P

I don't know what your trying to do mike but THINGS IS FAR FROM the most devastating loss. Your just trying to sell papers. Did all of MAgic nation really think that the Magic were going to beat the Pistons THIS YEAR. Hek not even Otis Smith thought so when he said about a month ago that he believed the team was still about a year and a half away. Stop trying to paint this bleak picture Mike it's wrong and you wrong for doing it. The MAgic will be a force next year and that's going to be the turning point, this year was a big experiment that turned out to be a great sucess but let's not get carried away with our expectations of this team.......

I don't think it's really turning on them when he's just pointing out the facts. Keep in mind, Detroit has been to 5 straight Conference finals, while this incarnation of the Magic has only been to two straight playoffs, the first of which they were swept in the first round. This year they easily beat Toronto, and have managed to hang in there with Detroit, regardless of how many games this series takes. You have to pay your dues to get that mental toughness. As long as management doesn't give up on this group, the Magic should continue to get better and be great for the foreseeable future. Remember, success isn't built over night, and it just seems to me that Mike B realizes that.

I agree with the Magic Fans with the flip floping of this particular columnist. There is one other Orlando sentinel writer that put himself out there as well (Mike something). It will be interesting to see what his take is now as well. Anyway valient effort by your magic team. In a couple years this team should be really good if managment is able to keep it togther and you are free of injuries. A big part of the stones success over the years has been the ability to stay togther and stay healthy. I really thought the Orlando media was almost more giddy than the Magic fans about this years playoff team. Slow down and be patient. The stones were getting knocked out in the first round for years prior to the success of recent years. Like the one poster said it does not happen over night.

Scrawled one of the tykes: "Magics are going to beat the Pistons."...
Sure it wasn't you that wrote that Mike? Seems to have all your journalistic stylings.
No more guarantee of a Magic victory with no Chauncey? While at least you manned up and admitted how wrong you were. Oh that's right you didn't.
Pathetic. And you have the nerve to call the Magic scared puppies...

Wow, that was a long two sentences....take a breathe dude!

Yep, the Magic's future is bright, no doubt about it.

My two off-season signings wish list. Joe Smith for another big and Jose Calderon from Toronto a pass first assist point guard that has some size.

As far as a draft pick, grab the best rebounder available and trade JJ to move up.

Mike B is obviously not a Magic fan in anyway. I am curious who he is a fan of. I am sick of reading his articles. He really is frustrating to read. Which is most likely the reason he writes the way he does.

I am tired of these so called "fans" ripping the magic. Everyone knows It ain't over till the Fat Lady sings. Yeah we're down 3-1 to the Pistons, matter of fact, so what!

The Magic are going to win this series. No if, ands, buts about it. All this Hate and negativity is not getting us no where. All the magic have to do is speed the game up, all this dramatization is killing the fun.

You tell me if thats not the truth. The only reason why the pistons keep winning is that they are slowing the game down and making it phisical, they are basically making our guys lazy, taking away the energy, and creating fatigue. That's going to change on Tues.

Go magic!!!

And forget all you half fans the ones that turn away when you think you see a dead end.

Magic fans,

I have been watching the Magic from afar since the days when we (the Pistons) shut down T Mac. The Magic are a scrappy team, better than I thought. They remind me of the Piston team that had to learn how to beat Boston during the Bad Boy era. Once they did no one could stop them. But where would the Magic be right now if they wouldn't have traded for Darko? Could you imagine what your team would look like if you had a big athletic combo guard like Stuckey? That move could be the biggest single reason why you aren't going to the ECF.

The Orlando 'Tragic' Magic are nothing more than a amateur level Recreational Team. Trust me, I know some guys in my hood that would rip them apart. I sure hope that the Players on that team are reading this. You guys think that you can win shooting those kind of shots? Get real and GET SMART like Maxwell baby! I don't know of any team that plays like that, except a scared to death High-School squad. Hurry up and shoot it before they set up! That's the answer? No-Way! You need real plays in the paint to be successful in this league. I don't kind of studying Van Gundy is doing, but it isn't working as far as I see it. Maybe he will fake another exhausted year and go be with his family as he did in Miami after losing to Detroit. It's obvious that he was fired in Miami. Only a fool would believe the hype!!

Dwight Howard is the laziest defender I've ever seen. Keep the cape, you can use it to mop up you and the Magic when this thing is done on Tues.

Sorry Loser I don't smoke! But I can see that you are steaming up with envy all the way from Detroit! You are just another Loser looking for sympathy with your whinny comments. I just tell it like I see it, you and your team are Toast and you know it! So don't get mad at the truth, I know it hurts. Like I said many times before, Orlando Basketball is not the way the game is played my friend. Your team is wack as your coach is. I don't mean to come off hard on you, but i am so sick and tired of it! I don't like Orlando Magic anyways. That is not true basketball as a sport. I would say that it is purely a recreational style of game that they play. It sucks! You guys are so lucky that you won a game! Now tell me do you honestly believe that you will win this series now? Of course not! The Pistons will not underestimate a team ever again. This isn't last year. But to you I guess you would say so! DETROIT BASKETBALL
