Nixed Lee deal is a saving grace

Full story: Newsday

David Lee already was the first player opposing general managers were asking about when they called the Knicks leading up to this week's trade deadline.

Ken:
The OSHA workplace standard is pretty clear regarding employee exposure to potential bloodborne pathogens. You need to educate yourself on a subject before you pontificate. You can check out the entire standard on OSHA's website, but here are the pertinent portions in terms of what the NBA is looking at -
Part Title: Occupational Safety and Health Standards
Subpart Title: Toxic and Hazardous Substances
Standard Number: 1910.1030

1910.1030(d)(2)(i)
Engineering and work practice controls shall be used to eliminate or minimize employee exposure. Where occupational exposure remains after institution of these controls, personal protective equipment shall also be used.
1910.1030(d)(2)(ii)
Engineering controls shall be examined and maintained or replaced on a regular schedule to ensure their effectiveness.

That's a pretty clear expression by the government regarding an employer's responsibility to all of its employees. It isn't about being gay or not. If the NBA wants to take on social education for its rookies, as well, then they should be applauded for the effort, rather than be targeted for journalistic cheap-shotting.

the knicks should trade c frye and david lee and nate robinsin and steve f. for KG and Randy F and troy hudsen and mark madsen thats a great deal and if it wants a spice to really make KG come to NY THEY SHOULD ADD A COUPLE OF DRAFT PICKS AND DEMAND R FOYE
BECAUSE THEY ARE SHIPPING FRYE AND NATE AND LEE THATS A YOUNG CORE BUT YOUR GETTING KG AND FOYE BACK AND MAYBE TROY PLAYS LIKE A PLAYER AND NOT A BENCH MAN ALSO AND IF THAT DONT WORK THEN TRADE FRYE AND STEVE F. FOR JAZZ AK 47 AND NATE AND LEE AND ROSE FOR SONICS R LEWIS DO SOME THING SMART NY CAVS DREW IS NOT BETTER THEN AK 47 OR LEWIS

Glad to see the Nate Robinson needed 8 attempts to get a dunk in. He is a side show and the Knicks don't have the luxury of carrying this time of player. I think that Isiah wanted to shorten up the guard rotation with Crawford, Francis and Marbury.

Does this team have a number one draft pick this year?

amazing the brilliant brain trust that is Knicks management tried to trade this guy last year, the same year they got James, and Francis....and then Jeffries...no wonder this team has struggled...

The Knicks have a lot of options for trades and one trade they should make is trading James,Francis and Frye to Seattle for Lewis,Allen and Ridnour. That would increase the Knicks basketball IQ tremendouly.

I agree potraying Hardaway's comment's as 'barbaric' is more evidence that these 'sport coluimnist' need to just say that they are writing a blog. the Reagan Admistration refused to acknowledge that Aids even existed in the early '80's until it was proven that it wasn't a 'Gay Cancer'.
SO what does that make them!??
