Tanaka's Take: So Long, Carmelo Anthony

Full story: Fox 31 KDVR

In sports, there are wagons and there are buses. It's time for Nuggets fans to get off one, and put Carmelo Anthony on the other.

I am so dissapointed with Melo. I wish he would have acted like a man about this situation. The Denver fans stood behind him during his growing pains, he could at least be a man about wanting to leave. Somewhere in the whole process he got the idea that he is not able to be replace. Well SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!! Hope the Nugget organization goes for big if they want him.

Nuggets will never make it to the top wheter they have melo or not. just a bunch of spoiled, tatooed crybabies. Get a hangnail and they're out for two games. Hockey players go off with cuts that require 10-12 stitches one period and they're back on the ice the next. I get tired of looking at the ink the bb players display. they look like they belong framed and hung up on a wall somewhere. It's disgusting. Basketball use to be fun to watch, now it's just sad.

What's up Tony? The money is here too, at least for his contract, but his wife is calling the shots now, and she has to be in a big city.

Tha Anthony's were big fish in a little pond here. Even after his career was over this town would have been in his corner. In NY they will be little fish in a great big pond, no matter how important they think they are, and they will be quickly forgotten.

This is just great. We live in an "at will" employment State where employees are laid off on a moments notice by managers who collect bonuses for cutting their budgets. But when one of the worker bees makes good and moves on to bigger and better things, we hear all the whining and crying from these same people acting like big babies as if they have been horribly wronged. What a bunch of losers!

Lets try this instead: Thanks Carmelo for the time you spent with us here in Denver and all the great wins and making all of us feel like winners with your hard work. Wishing you and your family the very best.

And btw, Tanaka, your diaper obviously needs to be changed!

I agree if he doesn't want to be here let him go,however I do blame ownership for not surrounding him with higher caliber players, some that are a bunch of crying babies. You know who you are!

I agree on sending him on his way. There's no point in dragging this thing out. Ownership could have done better. I think they tried in some instances, but you never know how things are going to turn out with a particular player.

Hey guys I'm sorry - I am KNICK FAN and excited Carmelo might be one as well. He is stalling the NETS for a better trade deal to NEW YORK it seems. The guy tried hard in Denver but management couldnt surround him with big talent. NEVER FAILS. And the fans get pissed at the player. Look at the past greats who werent surrounded with talent because of POOR MANAGEMENT. DAN MARINO, BERNARD KING, SLEEPY FLOYD, DON MATTINGLY (YANKEES), CHARLES BARKLEY, JOHN STOCKTON AND KARL MALONE, PATRICK EWING, PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH, DONNIE AND MARIE OSMOND, AND ARCHIE BUNKER OF ALL IN THE FAMILY, AND J.J. WALKER OF GOODTIMES. See guys not everyone can win. MELO did his time like LEBRON. So let it go and GET A LIFE. Aint no promises he will bring a ring to NEW YORK ANYHOO. Stop crying please and just move to NEW YORK. They have GIANTS jerseys on sale now.

It's nice you have big dreams. He wants to win, so why would he go to the Knicks? The Nets will be in Brooklyn in a few years anyway. Funny you mentioned not everyone can win. That's a good motto for a Knicks fan to live by. The reality is, they have nothing of value to offer since David Lee is already gone, and it will never be a winning team with Dolan in charge. He tried to bring back Isiah Thomas AFTER he left the whole franchise in ruin.
