oops did I bump into you? TECHNICAL!... WHAT!

This game was destroyed by the referees. I won't watch another playoff game this season. Horrible calls throughout game, let the players play.

I KNOW I AM GOING TO PISS SOME PEOPLE OFF BUT THIS IS HOW I SEE IT.
NOT SHOUTING, HAD A STROKE, NO ZOOM ON FORUM. HUBBY READS WHAT YOU WRITE SO I CAN RESPOND.
WE ALL KNOW THE NBA HAS RULES AND I THINK EVERY PLAYER ON THE SPURS KNOWS THEM RULES FRONT AND BACK, HOW ELSE ARE THEY ABLE TO SLOW DOWN GAMES AND GET ALL THE CALLS. GREAT DEFENCE YES, BUT STILL THINK THEY KNOW WHERE TO BE TO GET THAT FOUL.
GOOOO LAKERS. NBA FOREVER

The Jazz need to quit complaining, and play dirty, sneaky basketball like the Spurs play. There were definitely some bad calls but the refs pay alot more attention to the team doing the most crying. Maybe the next game they will sneak in cheap shots, dont complain, and they might have a chance.

If you don’t like the San Antonio Spurs you’re entitled to your opinion however don’t go around blasting their fan base, we have no control over how the game is called. Likewise, I’m not blaming the entire Utah Jazz arena for the incident that happened Monday night. Why? Because I understand that there are stupid people in every State of the Union. They have them in Cleveland too, in last night’s game some idiot released a small ball in the playing field that if stepped on could have caused harm to a player(s).

So to all of you that are tired of referees making bad calls, dirty basketball, whining players, rudely fans, etc., etc., plain and simple….turn your television sets off or change the channel!! Don’t torture yourself by watching, you really don’t have too, besides I’m tired of reading your negativity. I would truly enjoy discussing basketball with fans that are intellectual and understand the game. And if you’re still wondering why the Spurs got the calls, read the USA Today, it states; “Utah settled for jump shots too often in the final period instead of continuing to attack the basket like the Spurs.”

RULES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SLOWING DOWN A GAME, IT'S CALLED TEMPO!! ATTACKING THE BASKET HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH GETTING THE CALLS, IT'S CALLED AGGRESSION. IN THE 4TH QUARTER OF GAME 4 THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS USED AGGRESSION TO GET TO THE FOUL LINE WHILE THE UTAH JAZZ SETTLED FOR JUMP SHOTS. IT’S WIDELY KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE NBA THAT AGGRESSIVE TEAMS WILL NORMALLY GET THE CALLS. AS A LOS ANGELES LAKERS FAN I’M SURE YOU’RE AWARE THAT KOBE BRYANT IS THE AGGRESSIVE TYPE OF PLAYER WHO CONSTANTLY ATTACKS THE RIM AND GETS THE CALLS (SOME WOULD ALSO REFER TO HIS AGGRESSION AS TAKING OVER A GAME). THE REASON WHY PLAYERS DON’T ATTACK THE RIM MORE OFTEN IS BECAUSE THEIR BODIES TAKE A BEATING AND AS RODNEY DANGERFIELD WOULD SAY,“YOU GET NO RESPECT” BY THE DEFENSIVE PLAYERS WHEN YOU’RE IN THEIR SPACE.

THE SPURS PLAY FUNDAMENTAL BASKETBALL, EVERYTHING IS PLAYED TO THEIR SPEED WHICH IS WHY THEY GET SEVERAL CALLS. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS ALL THE FLOPPING ON THE GROUND ARE YOU GROWN MEN OR WHAT, SOMETIMES ITS EXCESSIVE. IVERSON GETS KNOCKED DOWN ALL GAME LONG AND RARELY SAYS ANYTHING GINOBLI DOES IT AND WE DAMN NEAR CALL FOULS, TECHS AND 911. CRYBABY

The San Antonio Spurs are a unique team capable of keeping up and playing ball with speedy teams such as the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets to name a few. However their preferred method is to play at their own speed which is a slow moderate pace that compensates ball movement. Every player on the team is capable of shooting the ball well which makes them very dangerous especially when they get open at the three point arc. Anyone that follows the NBA knows that every player in the league is an actor and I’m not discounting the Spurs either. However, I will say that Allen Iverson can never be as aggressive as Manu Ginobilli in the paint. Iverson’s body is not structured to withstand the beatings that Ginobilli takes when he drives to the hoop. No disrespect to Iverson because he’s a very good player and I’ve always enjoyed watching him play, but understand that he stands 6’0” and weighs 165 compared Ginobilli at 6’6” 205. Even if Iverson was to put on some extra pounds, the added weight would naturally slow him down and there is really nothing you can do about his height. The average height in the NBA is 6’6”

JETTE I THINK I READ EARLIER YOU ARE A LAKERS FAN TOO. IM JUST SO FLUSTERED ABOUT KOBE LEAVING. I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY AFTER READING THE ARTICAL. I ALWAYS KNEW HE WAS NOT THE REASON SHAQ LEFT. TO THINK THE FRONT OFFICE KNEW ALL ALONG AND DID NOT TELL THE TRUTH. WELL THAT WILL TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT THEM. I THINK ANY TEAM WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HAVE KOBE. I WAS JUST THINKING IF HE REALLY DOES LEAVE, WHICH I HOPE HE DOES NOT, BOBCATS WOW HE COULD REALLY RUN WITH THEM GUYS. BEEN WATCHING THEM ALL YEAR AND THEY HAVE SOME TALENT AND HAVE THE MONEY AVAILABLE TO GET HIM. KOBE ON A TEAM THAT HAS MJ RUNNING IT, OH MY. IM A LAKERS FAN MYSELF. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH ARE KOBE FANS. HE WILL FOLLOW KOBE. THE ONLY REASON HE GOT THE NBA PACKAGE ON DISHNET WAS BECAUSE OF KOBE, HE WATCHES EVERY GAME THAT MAN IS IN. I LIKE TO WATCH ALL I CAN. GONNA GET THAT MONEYS WORTH. LOVE TO TALK BASKETBALL WITH PEOPLE THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKINGA BOUT. NOW YOU AND COWBOY KNOW MORE THAN ME, BUT THAT IS HOW YOU LEARN, BY LISTENING. SO KEEP IT COMING BOTH OF YOU. NBA FOREVER. I ALSO LIKE SHOWTIME, HE HAS SOME GOOD INSIGHT INTO THE GAME.

THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT. I TOO ENJOY TALKING SPORTS AND CONSIDER MYSELF A FAN WHICH IS WHY I TRY TO REFRAIN FROM USING PROFANITY WHEN WRITING ABOUT OTHER TEAMS AND THEIR FAN BASE. IN MY LIFETIME I’VE COME TO RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS, PLAIN AND SIMPLE, WE DON’T ALL SEE THE WORLD AS ROUND.

ANYWAY, LET’S TALK KOBE BRYANT….DEAL OR NO DEAL?

THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION: KOBE SHOULD’VE KEPT IT IN-HOUSE AND NOT MADE IT PUBLIC. HOWEVER, SINCE WE ALL KNOW ABOUT IT NOW, THE QUESTION TO BE ANSWERED IS; WILL HE BE LEAVING TOWN? I SAY NO, KOBE IS THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS FRANCHISE AND STILL HAS TWO YEARS REMAINING ON HIS CONTRACT. HOWEVER, I DO BELIEVE THAT IF KOBE DOESN’T WANT TO PLAY FOR THE LAKERS, THAT THEY WOULD RATHER HAVE HIM SIT THE NEXT TWO SEASONS THAN TO TRADE HIM TO ANOTHER TEAM, ESPECIALLY IF HE WAS TO POSSIBLY ENDS UP WITH A TEAM SUCH AS THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (THEY DO SHARE THE SAME HOUSE). THOUGH A DIFFERENT SPORT, I VIEW THIS MOVE AS A SIMILAR ONE MADE BY THE DETROIT LIONS WITH REGARDS TO BARRY SANDERS.

I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT THEY HAVE NEEDED TO BUILD AROUND HIM FOR YEARS, I NEVER KNEW WHY FISHER LEFT. ONCE SHAQ LEFT IT WAS DOWNHILL AND KOBE DOESNT UNDERSTAND HE CANT DO IT ALL. AT SOME POINT HE HAS TO LISTEN TO AUTHORITY, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE FACT OF THE TROUBLE HE GOT INTO WHILE HERE IN CO.I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE PROFFESIONALS GET PAID ALL THE MONEY FOR "LOVE OF THE GAME" BUT IT ALWAYS BOILS DOWN TO MONEY. SOME OF THEM DONT DO ENOUGH CHARITY FOR SOMEONE TO HAND OVER THAT MUCH CASH TO ME ITS THE WIVES THAT DO THE DIRTY WORK AND GET NO CREDIT. THERE ARE NOT TO MANY TEAMS THAT ARE GOING TO PUT UP WITH HIM, HE MAY SIT FOR AWHILE, AS A LAKER FAN ITS UPSETTING.

IM MY OPINION THE THREE BIGGEST MISTAKES THE LAKERS HAVE MADE IN RECENT YEARS WERE: SIGNING CARL MALONE AND GARY PAYTON WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE HIRED YOUNGER LEGS, RELEASING SHAQUILLE O’NEIL TO THE MIAMI HEAT, AND LASTLY, NOT BUILDING AROUND KOBE BRYANT. THE RELEASE OF O’NEIL WAS REALLY EXPOSED WHEN THE HEAT WENT OUT AND WON LAST YEAR’S CHAMPIONSHIP. O’NEIL HAD TO PROOF NOT ONLY TO THE LAKERS BUT TO THE ENTIRE WORLD THAT HE STILL HAD GAME AND AT THE SAME TIME KEPT HIS PROMISE TO THE CITY AND ITS FANS BY DELIVERING A CHAMPIONSHIP.

THE REASON DEREK FISHER LEFT THE LAKERS WAS BECAUSE OF THE DEAL OFFERED TO HIM BY THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS THAT TOTALED 37 MILLION OVER A SIX YEAR PERIOD PLUS A GUARANTEED STARTING JOB, THE LAKERS OFFERED 15 MILLION OVER A THREE YEAR AND NO OTHER INCENTIVES. FISHER ALSO STATED THAT HIS PRIMARY REASON FOR LEAVING THE LAKERS WAS SO THAT HE COULD RUN HIS OWN TEAM, HOWEVER HE FAILED MISERABLY IN HIS CONQUEST AND WAS TRADED TO THE UTAH JAZZ.
