Once again, Doug. You stay off my society beat and I will stay off the sports page. You do not want to tangle with me.

I agree with Shirley.
Mr. Kikorian: Stay out of the shore, and stay out of our lives. You can have everything west of Junipero, and we'll keep everything on this side to the decent folk of Long Beach.

I meant for us. the decent folk of l.b.

Keep this kind of reporting up and we may get a successionist movement going here. I say Seal Beach could annex us.(belmont shore).

I keep reading because I enjoy the columns. I also enjoy reading the posts from the simpleton critics that seem to despise the columns so much that they read every one of them. Critics tend to criticize that which they have the desire, but not the talent or ability, to do.

Good One Red Onion.
He probably waits anxiously each Friday Morning for the paper to arrive so he can read about all those swell folks that Douggie writes about, wishing he could be mentioned too. All he needs to do is hang out at one of the two-dozen bars & restaurants that Douggie frequents and pick up the tab, and he'll surely become one of the "in-crowd".

Perhaps Dougie could provide Pete Rose with the best gambling tip ever - just don't do it.

You said that Doug laughs at me so I thought that you may know him & be able to introduce. I am torn now though. Thinking about starting a Red Onion fan club too, but don't know if I will have the time.
