He has a limit. He also knows how to push past that limit. Which is pretty much what Kobe Bryant has been doing the last month or so as he willed the Lakers through the Western Conference playoffs and into the NBA Finals despite playing more than 200 games in the past two calendar years.

Bottom line, Kobe is the Lakers Assist leader... and he always has more assists (8 every game) then anyone on the Lakers or Magic this series. If the Lakers are winning, if they have a 3-1 lead, and if they end up winning the Championship, then Kobe did what MJ would have, what Magic would have, what anyone with this much young talent would do with his great abilities. as soon as Farmar, Brown, Ariza, Odom, Bynum.. and even Pau, get a few more years on their belt... it will be easier for Kobe to run the Triangle, when everyone is on the same page. I predict that Kobe will get at least 3 more rings after this year.... as long as the Lakers keep Pau and Bynum. The hard spot is that they might just have to chose between Odom and Ariza.... who do you go with if it comes down to it.... I would only say Ariza over Odom because of the youth, but the Lakers would still need a big guy to play PF/SF. Odom is a Key to the Lakers winning formula. Plus, the Lakers will have more cap room with Odom gone over Ariza to try and get help... but I would rather see this exact team playing for 2-3 more years with only little changes like Brown, DJ and Sun)!

I am glad the article exposes one of the worst things about the Laker's coaching decisions. Shaw says that you go away from Kobe until there is no other option and it is late in the shot clock. Great time to get the ball to your best scorer. Starting the offense away from Kobe shows why the Lakers are so inconsistent. This presumes the Triangle offense will produce results from any of the players on the floor. That is not the case. After running that offense for years, teams know how to defend it and many (Boston, Orlando) have success against it. Unless you have a Kobe, MJ, Pippen, Shaq or Gasol, the triangle is just an offensive system looking for a superstar. Also, if it were so good then the Lakers would have 4 peats and 5 peats.

IN MY HUMBLE BUT ASSERTIVE, PERSONAL OPINION,
I DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING NEEDS TO CHANGE, KOBE IS DOING FINE HE'S NOT BEING A BALL HOG, HE'S GETTING HIS TEAMMATES INVOLVED AND THEY ARE WINNING GAMES.

To be in rhythm is to be in the flow of your team and let the game come to you, rather than forcing your own shot all the time. Perhaps Kobe should learn how both to shoot or pass the ball, whenever it enhances the success of the whole team.
