When I saw the headline, "Pacers interview Davis, Shaw" I was hoping it was someone to replace Bird, but no such luck. It really does not matter what coach they bring in because the players Bird has assembled are going nowhere.

We have to at least talk to Mitchell at some point.

Whoever it is, it has to be someone who will get accountability out of these guys.

I was wondering why this thread was in a lakers forum but I see the pacers are looking at shaw, to me the best available coach if he wants to still coach is larry brown, thats who I would go after, isiah pushed him out to save his own ass from getting fired, he did not get enough time to turn the knicks around.

Leave that old, washed up coach alone...WE don't need Larry Brown, he'll coach 1 year get $15million and quit! Isiah didn't cause the problems, the Hick from French Lick and his homey-Carlisle caused the problems...An incompetent Bird and a pathetic Carlisle...Brian Shaw stay where you are, let the Assistant Johnny Davis have it...This team will be the worst in the league for at least 7 more years....BIRD NEEDS REPLACING-HE HAS NO CLUE! The Seats at Conseco will stay empty...

Bird is the best! Carlisle got the players he needed and you no class loser fans (homey?) caused him to be replaced. I would have loved to see what he could do with some "intelligent" (homey) players !!!!

I disagree Larry Brown is not washed up but I will agree He won't stay more than two years. I think the Pacers should sign Larry as interm coach for a two year deal to get the Pacers going in the right direction or bring him as consultant. And if he can't stay past the first year be smart and don't pay him for the second year of the deal.

Please do not hire a coach from within last years staff! Enough was enough! Wipe the slate clean! Start over...and trade O'Neal asap. He's NOT a franchise player and I have no idea why you ever thought he was! Good 2nd man...not the franchise one! Good Luck.

Who is responsible for all the bad trades? Pacers are destined for last-place finish next year. Larry Bird should resign or be fired. Someone is asleep at the wheel.

I don't think Simon brothers give a damn what happens to the Pacers. They are totally clueless. Otherwise, Bird would have been fired with Carlisle a few weeks ago. What a joke. No one takes responsibility for all the bad trades.

The way things are going now I would not be surprised if Brian Shaw becomes the next head coach of the pacers.

Who cares? The Pacers, and the NBA for that matter, has become practically unwatchable these days. It is really sad how they have destroyed such a great game with the style of play, huge salaries, thugs as players, offensive ticket prices, etc. I used to love going to Pacers games, watching the NBA on TV. Today, I could care less. Very sad.

Adelman or Mitchell. No other candidates. And, naturally, the Pacers have talked to neither. Fabulous.
