This story is ridiculous. I'm going to agree with MOST of the nation when I say that whoever this kid's dad is should just go back to his cushy job and hide there. What an embarrassment. An athlete hits a big shot and celebrates by running down the floor, on his way barely nudging a 12 year old kid. If he'd have really "pushed" him the lightweight kid would have gone flying backwards. As it was he just stumbled into another fan. Get over it, quit being a whiny jerk and just be glad that you were allowed to attend what turned out to be a great basketball game. Grow a pair and be a man for crying out loud.

The kid was on the court, in the playing area! HIS Dad is a tool.

This kid was cool for a night until his dad decided he was gonna use a covert racist statement to stir up trouble. Read the back of your ticket. You night get hurt at these events. If you are so concerned about safety why are you bringing your mini-baby son there? Perhaps your kid should be in foster care??? Suck it up and buy box seats next time and let real fans sit court side.

I don't think the guy was playing the race card by saying "raging animal". It didn't occur to me until Doc said something. So what, you can't criticize a black guy now without being called a racist? Am I one for using the term "black" instead of African-American? When will this PC stuff end? But yeah - the guy did make much ado about nothing. You sit courtside and there's a chance you could get an NBA player in your lap. Just shut up and deal with it.

Ernest Provetti acted more like his son's little sister than he did a father. What a wittle whiner!

Glad that Courtney is back on the court. I just don't understand why he was sitting on the bench in the crucial part of the 4th quarter. He's our 2nd best defensive player. He should be back in the starting lineup.

I feel sorry for the kid because his father is a jerk.

Mr. Provetti, now you can slip back into your own insignificant life, you got your apology. Of course, your son can't, since he'll be the butt of jokes at his school and among his friends now for years to come.

What an idiot.

If you don't see what is racist about calling a black guy an animal (subhuman, monkey, ape, etc), then I can't help you.
