The thing that really **** is that Nelson will not make the All Star Team. Neither will Lewis or Turkoglu.
The only chance those guys have is if SVG winds up coaching the team. And to do that the Magic must have a better record at the All Star break than the Cavs. Doc Rivers can't be the coach this year because he coached last year. So the Magic just need to beat out the Cavs for the best record in the East to give Van Gundy the coaching duties for the Eastern Conference.
I don't think Turk deserves to be an all-start this year. He's been too inconsistent. He is and will continue to be a criitical element on this team, but at least in the first half of the season, he's had too many "off" nights to be named to the all-star team. Rashard Lewis should get some consideration, though. Jameer, definitely.

Oh yeah and Jim you are right. Jameer or Rashard should at least make the team. Maybe as one of the last spots; however, if you recall back about 4 years ago when Detroit was dominating the league, it took about 2 years for Billiups and Sheed to make the team. They could fall into that category. If they play well for the rest of the season and end up doing well next season, they defiantly will make the team, but just like last year, I don't think they will get in like Turk last season.

A collective shiver just went up the spine of every NBA team that saw this game last night. Why? Because a team that shoots around 50% from the field in a game,as the Kings did, is not usually going to lose, let alone by 32 points! This Magic team continues to get better and better with each and every passing game. Their 3-ball shooting is flat out-burn the barn down- Jessica Alba in a bikini photo shoot, type hot. As long as they continue with the torrid floor percentages, it doesn't matter who they play, where they play them at, no team will stop them. Let's do the same to the Lakers on Fri. night! Go Magic!

he is one of the top 5 players in the game but lebron, kobe, d wade, and chris paul are all obove him
I'll take Howard over Wade and Paul all day long with my first pick. James is probably the only one I would consider picking over him to start a team for the futue.

Great Game. You have to be entirely happy where this team is...great deal of credit to Van Gundy...rest assured he knows where we need to improve (defending inside against big teams) Biggest sign of improvement was beating LA Lakers 2 weeks ago and then Spurs last game on their home courtNext 2 weeks we play LAL Celtics and CAVS. That will reveal a lot...Go Magic

Didn't the Pistons just lose to the Bobcats? They are not as good as they've been in the past since they lost Billups. Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough!

Det Fan,

No question Det has Magic's #. Every team has a nemesis (For the Bulls it was Detroit) and The Magic will have to get past DET.

Detroit may not be as good but until we actually beat the Pistons then DetroitFan is correct. The Pistons still own us!
