So long as Dolan owns the Knicks, they are going to suck.

It really is just that simple.

Please bring the Nets to Brooklyn so we NY hoops fans can have at least some dignity.

rid themselves of Marbury? New York Reporters all have this wrong. Marbury had NEVER been the Problem with this Team, and its gonna look bad for all you reporters when Marbury finally get good coaching. And a good coach is gonna put his best player in the best situation. Did Isiah EVER do that? Who's the Knicks best player? marbury. Isiah has always hurt the team for his selfish endeavors and you guys believe Marbury is part of that. You guys are making a big mistake constantly trying to run Marbury out of here. From the towel over his head to his scowl, you've always hated him, I love DJ, but Jeter is a softie, cornball, not real. Face it you racist nyers, don't like rich black atheletes, so if is black butt isn't producing and smiling enough, you want him out. That surprise Giants SB win is the only way we can win in NY, because expectations kill every team here. You have to be a surprise, and that way the reporters vote against you over and over and you prove them wrong, proving you guys know nothing. Marbury is the only star on the team.

I will never root for the Nets! I don't care who owns the Knicks or where the Nets play.

Let Marbury compete with Duhon, or get rid of Marbury if it is in the best interest of the new team chemistry that is needed. Mike D will figure this out.

Duhon will either blossom under Coach D and ressurrect his career, or he would become a valuable back up point guard.

Knicks will always "work" on getting players. Newsday thinks anyone who is a free agent is going to the NYK..HA what a joke..NYK suck!!....They will end up signing Charlie Ward to a multi million dollar contract and be even more over the salary cap for the next 100 yrs.

Makes a lot of sense. bring in Marbury then bring in Brown. Bring in Curry then bring in Randolph. I have a feeling Marbury will have a good season with the right coaching. the team is going in the right direction.

right if ownership feel he is bad for chemistry get rid of him. But for some reason I dont think they will get rid of him. With that system he will excel, wish we had this system from day 1 that he got here. because with the L. Brown thing, it was terrible and had gotten worse. How can we blame one player, if we had a coach for one year???? how can we even blame Curry for bringing in Zach???????

I agree with the first part of your post. Steph doesn't have the running mates for his skills to show. I don't see how having Marbury with Curry and Randolph will work under the coaching philosophy of D'Antoni. This could very well be the last season the Knicks will be out of the playoffs as more salaries will come off the cap.
Knick fans need to be patient as (I believe) Walsh will make moves for the 2010-2011 season.

As far as your comments about New York fans being 'racist' about rich minority athletes, I couldn't disagree more. If you play hard with maximum effort, New York fans could care less what the colour of your skin is. When the Knicks started the 2006-2007 season, they did show maximum effort and the fans were right behind them, even though there were more losses than wins. Unfortunately, this did not translate to success over time.

Hopefully, Jim(my boy) Dolan will allow Walsh, et al, to 'rebuild' the franchise to respectability...

What would be the benefit financially for the Knicks to buyout Stephen? Duhon is a second string backup until he proves otherwise. While he may have good skills he has to prove he is going to put the team before himself.

Give David Lee a chance! Get rid of Zach Randolph asap! DLee = team player, Zach Randolph = me-first ballhog. Give Starbury a chance to run a new-look, new-coach team. When Steph first came to the Knicks, he had flash and optimism, and did the pick and roll with Michael Doleac to perfection. Why haven't the Knicks been able to replace Doleac's skillset? Because Isiah Thomas is an I-diot who shouldn't have been coach in the first place, thanks to James Dough-lan. Give Curry a chance to excel without Randolph, he was on his way to stardom before I-diot clogged the middle with Z-Ro.
Don't give up David Lee, Marbury, Curry or Nate before they all have opportunity to gel under D'ant. A point guard is NOT the problem at this point (!). We need a big man to block shots, play defense, and lead the defensive juggernaut that was once the Knicks forte.

What about Mardy Collins? Let him play some and see how he does, he can pass, rebound play d and score, what the heck are we doing looking for point guards who can't make it to practice? Stick with the guys you have and see how they end up.

I was using the NBA trade machine, and came up with two trades that might work. Let me know your thoughts

Hahahaha. You Knicks fans are hilarious. Really? Michael Doleac?! Mardy Collins?! Marbury had his chances with real coaches(remember Larry Brown?) Just because he sells sneakers for $5 doesn't mean he's not an a-hole. You New Yorkers are just trying to embrace another NYC point guard that didn't pan out. Mark Jackson was your best NY point guard and he doesn't even do commentary for you guys. He's with the Nets. Pathetic. D'Antoni is a good start but as long as "Starbury"(a "star" that "buries" his team)is at the point, you have no chance. He's always been jealous of AI and his success. Look what Larry Brown did for AI, too bad the Knicks were too dumb to appreciate him. I'm a Magic fan, but I can't wait to see the Bobcats crush you're sad excuse for an NBA team. Take that wannabe Boston!!

Even though the contract dollars match up for the trade (within 15%) why would the Cavaliers or the Kings want Randolph or Jefferies for 2 additional years on their cap?

Most teams are attempting to clear cap space for 2010...
