I don't think it's that hard to find a combination that will fit for LeBron because he is so versitile. I heard talks with Baron Davis and the Warriors has stopped, try to get him and a swingman who's athletic enough to be a scoring and defensive threat in the paint and you're there. If the Cavs keep Boobie, Delonte, and Wally that's enough perimeter play. I would also keep Ben, Illgauski, and Joe. I like Varoja and Palhovich but they have too many mental mistakes even in regular season games, to me they still don't understand their roles. I say go for Baron Davis and look for a descent swingman 6'9" plus and then you got yourself a serious contender. But one has to admit through all the injuries, holdouts, and the big trade to the 4th seed and take the top team (record wise) to 7 games this team has potential.

tyler, nobody is going to trade for wallace's huge contract while on the downside. By the way, wallace has never been an offensive player AT ALL, but he did win a championship with the pistons because of his d. Wallace isn't the d player he used to be but hes still solid.

adc34, if you think the cavs have the pieces to get baron davis...you're insane. If golden state would make a trade that retarded, then they're essentially tanking next season, especially being in the western conference.

A realistic trade would be the 19th pick in the draft and zydrunas, varojao and a complementary player for jermaine o neal. Brown coached oneal in indiana and could get the most out of him. That's a REALISTIC deal.

If they would have kept what they had and just tried to add Delonte West and maybe Joe Smith I think with West Larry Huges what have produced better and they need to find new ways to use Lebron like in the post setting the pick and role for west and gibson.

larry hughes!!! dude, time to go home nadab. he was terrible haha.

Chad and jeff, I agree with michael redd...i didn't think of him. Either jermaine or him would be a great addition.

basketball guroo...check the salary of ben wallace because you clearly don't get that no other team in their right mind will take him

Honestly the cavs need not redd because he will not be the robin to batman, he will be another wally what we really need is a guard that will demand a double team. A guard like the one and only Baron Davis and that is all i have to say, even elton brand if we can not get BD you already saw what happened when we had Carlos Boozer with the king so what i say is, one or the other please do not make this another larry episode or we will be back where we are this year no were.

I see Lebron playing for the Nets or Knicks when his contract is up. I hate to see it, but tell me he isn't steaming that his teammates are next to useless.

Once more, "prince James" is the only one good the Cavaliers, i didnt even expect them to make it Game 7 in Boston, if hes such a hereo, he could of done it by himself since hes so great.
Hes over-rated, if hes so wonderful, he would have 5 rings by now.

It was clearly a joke i made, not realistic i know. Considering how they got gasol, something like that wouldn't surprise me though.

You picked oden and yao as contenders in the nba, are you nuts dude. yao is injured every year and oden hasn't played a single minute yet. I'll give you that he has potential but remember that the blazers are still in the western conference. There is no reason the lakers can't win the next 2 or 3 years...ESPECIALLY when bynum comes back. They'll be entirely unstoppable with odom playing SMALL FORWARD!!! that's unbelievably scary with that line up next year.

OK, first off I was picking Yao assuming he is going to be healthy next season. Remember his team had a ton of injuries that carried into the playoffs and still managed to round out the top 5 best records in the west. I truelly believe that with a healthy roster the Rockets could dominate the west. As for Oden, so next season will be his first season in the NBA, SO WHAT Tim Duncon's first season in the NBA was a success and in college I would have taken Oden as a freshmen over Duncon as a senior any day.

PS.
I'd also take Carl Landry over Lamar Odem any day of the week!!!!!!!!!

So, I guess I could agree with you on Portland, but you gotta admit Greg Oden is GOING to win a championship one of these days. But not Houston, when they have a full roster with everyone 100% they just plain dominate the entire NBA.

So in conclusion, A 100% HEALTHY HOUSTON ROCKETS and MAYBE Greg Oden, there's the reason the Lakers can't win the next 3 or 4 championships!!!!!!!!!!

Well i guess we'll agree to disagree. You're expecting yao to be injury free but i just don't think it is ever going to happen. It's every single year.

You would've taken oden OVER tim duncan!?

Overall, Duncan finished his college career as the second-leading shot blocker in NCAA history, and remains one of only ten players with more than 2,000 career points and 1,500 career rebounds. He was also the first player in NCAA history to reach 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 blocked shots and 200 assists.

Also, he was acc player of the year and defensive player of the year a few times. I'll let you take oden because I'm clearly taking duncan with my first pick. That's absurd that you would take oden as a freshman over duncan as a SENIOR. If you would've said you would take oden as a freshman over duncan as a FRESHMAN, I could understand that a bit more and probably even agree with you. Duncan could be in the hall of fame for his stats in college, not even considering his stats in the nba!

The same can go for landry over odom. I think landry has a ton of potential after seeing what he did in his rookie campaign. But to take him over odom "any day of the week" RIGHT NOW is absurd. Maybe in a few years from now I would agree.

Obviously you're a blazers/rockets fan so you say these things as a fan. You basically rule out the lakers, hornets, and the rest of the western conference when A)the blazers haven't even made the playoffs yet and B) there have been years when yao and tmac are in the playoffs and failed in the first round altogether. Yes I realise this is a new year coming up but come on...these teams have no experience to win yet.

Well, you do make some awfully good points, but one you forgot to make about Oden and Duncan is the fact that Greg Oden went to an NCAA finals, while Tim Duncan couldn't even make a final 4 appearance.

Secondly, I'm not really a Rockets/Blazers fan or a Yao fan, I'm more of a Kings/Pacers fan. I just like Carl Landry cause he went to Purdue and Greg Oden cause he was so good playing Indiana High School B-Ball. I also like all the other Indiana natives the Blazers have.

But all in all I will say this much in the NBA the Kings and Pacers are my 2 teams. Then it's all about the Rockets, Blazers & Celtics.

And well, I know this is off the subject, but I hate the New England Patriots more then any other sports team on this planet. Then it's the Yankees , Pistons, & Rangers (NHL). Then as far as other NBA teams I don't like go behind the Pistons I'd say it's the Lakers, Spurs, Knicks, and Golden State. But believe it or not I am pulling for the Lakers over the Spurs.

about oden in the final 4, you're right...he did go further than duncan. As we've seen most years though in the ncaa, teams winning the whole thing regardless of talent is really a crapshoot. Most stars in the nba never won in the ncaa tournament during their time in college. I watched both teams and I feel Oden had a much better team than duncan did overall.

Just confess one thing man...yao s**ks hahaha. Yao gets 20 and 10 a night but on defensive hes the softest player ive ever seen. Mutombo was a better fit for that team during the 20 game win streak (or w/e) because defensively he was great for them. Everybody can dunk on yao like they did to shawn bradley lmao.

Dude I can't believe you're rooting for SA haha. I absolutely will die if SA makes the finals because they're the most boring team in history. Same goes for detroit, both are great teams but man they're unbelievably boring. The nba is prob praying for bos vs. la because of the ratings bonanza it would create whereas det and sa a few years back bombed on tv.
