I say hire the broadcast team -- Jackson and Van Gundy both. The two know and respect each other with good chemistry -- and both have great NBA smarts. They would get along with the players and know how to push buttons. Van Gundy is self-effacing enough to play nominal second banana, and Jackson should appreciate his head-coaching experience. Plus they both don't take themselves too seriously, and they know their way around the Knicks organization and facilities. I say open that wallet and turn the Knicks around on a dime by bringing in The Dynamic Duo.

Stop feeding the notion that it is a good idea to hire a person with no coaching experience to take the Knicks out of the basement of the NBA
There are two coaches that will be out there to consider:
Rick Carlisle-just pay the man and he will teach discipline for two eyars which Donnie trades all the malcontents away
Mike D'Antoni-If he gets canned, make him your guy. No one will deny the KNicks won't be fun to watch in his high scroing offense while Donnie works to get rid of Marbury, James, etc.
Anyone have any magnets for those ping pong balls? We need Rose!

THE LAST TWO MEATBALLS THAT CALLED THEMSELVES "COACHES". WINNING BASKETBALL GAMES IS ABOUT DEFENSE NOT HIGH scoring.

You think MJ is a bad choice for a coach, but you want D'Antoni so we can be fun to watch?!?

LATE BREAKING NEWS: we were fun to watch, just ask any NBA player.

No coach out there can help this team. They have to dismantle the entire team, get rid of guys like Marbury, Curry, Richardson, Randolph, Crawford, Robinson who are all poison, lazy, spoiled, and uncoachable. Get guys in here who work hard and know how to play both ends of the court.

Too many big contracts to move or to buy out.
But Marburry should be the priority to move no matter what he is their cancer.
