It's no secret the run was going to come. The Dallas Mavericks, one of the best teams in the NBA, had overcome double-figure deficits to pull out victories in their past two games. Full Story

Is it just me or do the Pacers look much better in the games that JO is out compared to when he plays?

Food for thought.

Good job Pacers! I was too busy to watch, but caught the score throughout the game. I'm glad to see that they finished the game with a W.

It's not just you "Train", I look for them to win if JO is out. I also respect Granger and Coach O'Brien's opinion that we will have a better team with him. At least Kobe isn't ringing his phone off the hook anymore. Man, Tinsley's on fire!

The way this team plays without O'Neal proves that he is no longer the key to this team.
While JO is still very talented, he does not blend well as a team player.
Troy Murphy is much better when JO is not in there. Harrison shows at times that he might be the player he is capable of.
Pacers need to cut their ties with JO as soon as possible. His contract will be impossible to move if he remains with the Pacers thru all of this season.
Teams can see that his value is not what everyone believes it to be. Bird needs to be hard nosed about it, and move JO for the chemistry and the continuity of this team.

JO is a loser. He got lucky when the Pacers put him on a pedestal and called deemed him their best player. What a joke. He is just a big baby. At lease he does not get into trouble off the court.

The Pacers remind me of my sons middle school team. They keep playing this kid because he is big...below average player but big...They lose too.

We need all our players to meet every situation ahead. Let's not sell JO or anyone else short. Look at the big picture and keep your eyes on the ultimate prize. Negativity never wins!

JO is a waste as a franchise player. He is like Scottie Pippen - who looked "all world" when he was on a team with Michael Jordan, but was a different player when traded and expected to carry the team as the leader. JO cannot do this, just like Pippen could not. JO looked incredible when he had some great players around him to keep everyone honest - when he is the main option (and everyone knows it) he cannot get it done. Trade him while you can get some value - let the team run a wide open offense, and watch the fun.

JO would b ok if Pacers would play same style they play when he's out. But when he's in they slow up and go thru him and r not nearly as good. Coach needs to make sure they play upbeat no matter who's n there.

If they trade JO, I think the attendance will go up. ( I said this hoping the Simon's will see it as they are only about money) JO is a good person and probably will be better served on another team. But if they do not trade him, they can and should find a better way for him to fit in on this team.

I think it's time for the NBA to institute some type of challenge system. Like in the NFL.
That call against Harrison when he blocked a basket by Nowitzki was off the mark when you look at the replay. Harrison clearly made a clean block and the refs made the wrong call.
Bit, I doubt that the great tzar Stern will ever let that happen while he sits on the throne.

I like J.O. but they do seem to play better with out him. Lets think of what type of value we could get for him to improve this team. Maybe just a couple of draft picks, maybe a 6 pack of beer...just maybes i know.

I was at this game. It was terrific almaost like a playoff game. All of the players played very hard. The key to this win was Tinsley. I have never been a big fan of Tinsley but if he continues to play like last night I will be a major fan. Go Pacers continue to play hard and good things happen.

Last night was great! They ALL played hard-nosed basketball. They rebounded, played great defense, drove to the basket, played as a team and showed us all what they can do when they put their minds to it. It would have been awful if they had lost when they had played so hard, but if they had lost, I would have been just as proud of them. When they play like they did last night, that's all I can ask for. You were great, Pacers!

I think Train is right on the money about J.O. He can't run on bad wheels and doesn't seem to want to fight for position in the post(again probably because of the knee). Let him rehab untill he's healthy. It's great to see the team running and playing hard.
