If the three pointer doesn't count, we are up by 5 instead of two with 1:23 left in the game... No need for Hedo to take that crazy shot either, because instead of being down by two with ~24secs left, we are actually up 1. Different game if they waved it off... Don't be fooled by the 7 point victory,

Whoever wrote this article must not have watched the game obviously. Yeah Detroit won by 7, but the score would have been tied with 11.8 seconds to go. And Orlando was down 3, and was forced to foul. Otherwise it would have been 93-93 Detroits ball and no fouling necessary. The only reason they won by 7 was the free throws at the end, that never would have happened had the score been right. It also amazes me that the NBA refs can review a foul to see if it was a flagrant 1 or 2, but they can't check with anyone to get the clock right. Come on, youre telling me that no one has a stop watch. And also the refs count off the 8 second to half court line, why can't they count the last seconds of a quarter. IT WAS A COMPLETE JOKE!! AND NOW NEXT YEAR THERE WILL BE A NEW RULE TO REVIEW THE CLOCK. THATS A LITTLE TOO LATE!!

You are absolutely right! It amazes me that not a single ref didnt realize that the clock was not running until RIGHT AFTER BILLUPS shot went through. What a coincidence. Not to mention that Dwight has been getting no respect from the refs or Turkolu either. They called travelling earlier in the game on Dwight when he was triple teamed and knocked to the floor by 2 Detroit players. Its kinda hard to not travel when you knocked down by 2 guys slapping your arms and pushing you. Another thing, if the refs said it took 4.6 seconds for the shot, then there would have been no time left in the quarter, because once the ball was shot, did time just stand still? The clock does run when it is in the air. So how did it only take 4.6 to inbound, pass it once, pass it again, go up for a shot, realize your going to be blocked so pass it again to Billups, then he shot it from way outside the 3 line, and the ball go through the hoop ? So there should have been no time on the clock if the refs are estimating it in that way. GO MAGIC!!!

Grasping at straws...the game would have still been lost by the magic. That is like saying if the Pistons or magic scored the first basket and made the score 0 to 3 in the first minute then the team A would have won by 50 million points. This is absurd. The Magic lost, end of story. If it was a 1/2/3 point game then maybe you wouldn't be laughed at by everyone by the amount of crying done on this forum.

Mike that is the most asinine analogy I have ever read. You obviously know nothing about basketball. The only lucid thing you said is that the Magic lost. This is true, and nothing can be done about it; but on a forum you will expect folks to comment on it. |
