Kent City? lol! Try South Haven.

One other thought. That big point guard that the Magic could use? Orlando gave him to Detroit, basically. Stuckey at #15....the draft pick they gave up for Darko and Carlos. Not a good move.

Like I said earlier, some kind of sign-and-trade must be worked with the Wizards for Arenas, even if that means trading Turkoglu. QUOTE]

Arenas can't stay healthy. This team is fine, they need a PF and they need experience. Dwight is 22, give him a chance, Jordan was in the league 7 years and 27 or 28 before he won a title, and he was maybe the best ever. It takes more than a few years in the league to win it all. Had Battie been healthy, they could have competed a bit better against Detroit, just a bad match up for the Magic right now. The future looks bright.

First off, I want to say that I am and will always be a die-hard Magic fan. I have been supporting them since the very beginning thru the ups and downs. However... I have a couple of things I need to vent about...
This entire series our guards have not been able to find Dwight down low. Our offense needs to start thru him. He is and should always be our first option. Instead we want to jack up 3 after 3 after 3 (with no one rebounding either). Yet it all became clear as to why we couldnt get him the ball. HE DIDNT WANT IT! He let Rasheed dictate his every move. Yeah, Rasheed plays dirty and physical. But damn it, MAN UP DWIGHT! Quit crying every time you don't get a call, it's not like you can make him pay at the free throw line anyway. Throw a bow or two right back at him.
As for Hedo, whew, where do I get started. He has been the man all season! Most deserving of the improved player award, hands down. But where was he all series? He made cameos in the 4th quarters, to then disappear again. Last night, he played defeated. And also another one to cry about not getting calls. Sorry, Prince made a great defensive stop. Watch the replay.
21 turnovers! Most of them were not even forced. Lewis leaving his feet before he passes the ball (to someone who is not looking), resulting in a turnover. Bogans in the open court doing a little hop skip mishandles the ball, turnover. Jameer off balance, ball goes one direction he goes another, turnover. Hedo driving on a fast break standing straight up instead of getting low, mishandles, turnover. Dwight driving to the basket with a wide open lane passes it behind a teammate whose momentum was already going one direction. I mean seriously. How did we go from playing solid, smart basketball to looking like amateurs? Were they intimidated? Apparently.
I hate that it sounds like I am trying to downplay this amazing season we've had, but man... I don't feel like we put up any kind of fight. And I see the potential, but let's hope that we actually learn something from this series and have it carry into next season. I am so glad we were tested by Detroit.
I look forward to next season! And I HOPE that we can acquire a SOLID point guard in the offseason. I believe that is our missing link. We do not have anyone out there controlling the game. Jameer is great... but only as a back up PG.
Thanks Orlando for a great season! I'm gonna miss ya! Until next year... Ciao!

Been fun chattin with you boys, maybe next year. Oh, please don't give that racistidiot the satisfaction of a reply. As to the game, the Pistons really looked very confident and it is important to know they have the habit of playing to the level of their competition. Hence they will win by one point to the best and the worst teams-just they way it is with these guys. So all the junk about if we coulda, shoulda doesn't hold water unless you have a lead late in the game.
Its been fun indeed Piston Fan!!
You have a lot honest comments on here...Its very very dissapointing but well...its a young team and hopefully they take this lesson at heart adn come back strong.
I have to say i'm happy that all 3 games have been a very close games and we fought hard and they just couldnt capitalize due to TOs and Free throws.
Here come's another exciting offseason for the MAGIC!!

The Magic is a team that has grown and that at times challenged the Pistons, much more so than even a year ago. But it should be noted that the closest games were all played with Piston 1st year rookie, Ronald Stuckey, in place of one of the league's best point guards(Chauncy!). So I am not yet buying the "Magic is the better team" line. And as far as being washed up, the Pistons have a slew of young players coming up behind the veterans, including that aforementioned 1st year rookie(Stuckey)--And Jason Maxielle, Amir Johnson, Aaron Aflolo, Jarvis Hayes, etc, etc.

And as far as the Pistons playing dirty, the only place I hear that coming from is some Orlando fans and over and over (and over)!from Stan Van Gundy...I got so tired of seeing him, screaming and whining, his eyes wide, mouth open, hair on end--I worried that his face might freeze that way...Oh, wait is frozen that way. He really deserves top billing on the Sentinal's list of sports crybabies.

Let's face it...The Magic ARE NOT a good basketball team. Sure they can run and gun, say and do all the right things off the court, yet they are not the style of team that will win a championship.
Dwight Howard 1st Team All NBA...Are you kidding?? When was #12 in the clutch yesterday?? He was a living ESPN sports narrative...?"Stumbling.. .bumbling"!
Did Howard dive after loose balls in the 4th quarter??
Jameer Nelson...Starting Point Guard?? Van Gundy can't be serious....I thought he understood basketball!! How many in season turnovers did he commit?? Doesn't logic then dictate when the "heat rises" in the playoffs that errors will be magnified?? OF COARSE IT DOES!!!
The Magic do not have a proven Point Guard....Hmmmm...Anyone remember a fellow by the nam of Billups who road the bench in the Blue and White??
No tenacity from the Power Forward position. Who watches Swight's back?? Theo Ratliff was available ...
"Didn't fit into our plans..: according to Otis Smith. Are you kidding Otis...Who on the Magic is better at the Power Forward position???
Can the Magic get these issues resolved in the off season?? I doubt it...someone in the front office needs to make this team tough...Oh....let's see Joe Dumars may know how that is done!!?? Take a lesson Bob Vanderwide..
Grand Rapids isn't far from Motown...Take Joe out to lunch and...brign a notebook!!
Blue and White...Yeah Right!!

We need a power forward who can rebound and defend. that is it. Boy we were forcing it to Dwight too much and Detroit saw that.

I, Think the Magics did very well this season, the team played hard and the players did the best they could. In any sports ninety percent of the time the better team prevail, and the fellows have nothing to be ashamed of, they were good.

Hahaha--I love Sheed, but I agree. Sheed is already on the list, however, and Stan was somehow omitted. He definitely ranks right up there at the top (especially since he is the only one in the league that thinks that his team is being played unfairly--everyone else calls it Defense!).

By the way, the town is Ann Arbor, not Southfield....(Go Blue)

Also, please note that Sheed, for whatever you think of him, has been mentoring Dwight Howard. They are friends, and Dwight has said that Sheed has much to teach him--In fact they did some practicing together before last night's game. : )

I dont feel so bad losing to the Pistons. After all, they and their TRUE FANS (not bandwagoneers) have to live in Detroit. Sorry for your luck Detroiters or Detroitites or whatever you call yourselves. The rest of the country refers to you as the 8th circle of hell. You deserve a good basketball and hockey team. Cant explain the Lions though. To quote Jim Morrison "the old get old and young get stronger". Dwights 22, sheed is what...58, 59.

What does it say about Detroit when Orlando has 21 turnovers, shoots 50% from the line, and gave them over 30 free throw attempts and they still almost won.
If they could have protected the ball a little more they could have won this series.

I believe it was great experience for the Magic. Only one game was lost before 4th q started. Remember last year. The only thing they need to work on is turnovers this summer and getting Howard to shoot better foul shots.

I dont think Hedo is a bad passer - he is one of the guys who more or less remembers to feed Howard. That is also what they need over the summer more points in the paint with Howard.
