I love C-Webb. He came in and helped the team out. Was a big part of the team getting to the eastern conference finals. Would of loved to have seen him get a ring. He deserves one after all he has gone through. Hopefully will be a piston for up coming season.

I totally agree, jared.
when you get young players, you must keep one or two veterans to show them the path...and chris is one of the most experimented player in this league....He doesn t play for the money, and hopeffuly Joe D. will make the proper decision in this case : keep C Webb of course...
Because, despite the fact we all are still very disapointed by the lost against the cavs, this off season is rolling the right way : 2 good players taken in the draft, chauncey is likely to stay, and amir will bring something very interesting, a big "plus" I believe....The tittle is maybe not that far away, even if we have a lot of good choices and works to accomplished, before think about it....go detroit!!!

I would love to see C-Webb in Dallas. I believe the pistons are to selfish for chris. I can't
believe how many times Chris was wide open down in the key in the cav's series. Rip, Chauncey and sheed blew that series shooting long range.Prince was exhausted from getting torched by Lebron. Chris will run the offense in Dallas.

Would like to see CWEBB go to the Rockets.
His passing skills and ability to knock down the elbow jumper is what the need. Also, he was successful in Adleman's system.

CWebb's passing abiltiy and his unselfishness is gonna be his best contribution to whatever team he's in. I think he'd contribute best to a team that has an established motion offense. Teams like Phoenix, Dallas or Houston might be just right for him.

You can rule out the Cavs. Danny Ferry seems intent on going out of his way NOT to make any moves.

Meanwhile, everybody else in the league is making moves to get better. Frustrating....

I'm a Dallas fan, but Rockets would be a perfect fit for C Webb. That would be a scary team.

Houston and Dallas would be perfect for Cwebb. But he could end up in Miami too for vet min. Piston have invested themselves too much in Rip/Billups/Sheed thus Billups making bonehead moves and blowing that series. Cwebb slow, yet very consistent and gave pistons all he could. He deserves a Ring.

Webber needs to loose weight ! His legs can't take an entire season so he needs to play fewer minutes a game to be effective. Will he accept much less money for fewer playing minutes is the question. I don't think so and that means he
will not sign with Detroit. Detroit will not pay the very top salary for healthy players so why will they pay big
money for a player who will play limited minutes ?

True That!
Too slow and Detroit is not having that. He is a few minutes contributor so he'll end up with a desperate team or somebody like the Mavs where he can be effective playing few min.

I can't believe what I read!!
Steve and Tmacin you cannot be that far away from the truth!!
First of all c webb don't care about the money : He went throught a lot of injuries, and during his entire career he showed commitment and courage to still be in this league despite injuries at the shoulders, knees, etc...He just loves this game man!
So he won't get a lot of money where ever he will play now: an the fact that detroit is one of the elite team of this league, plus the fact that he is a detroit native will make c webb back next year as a piston....

I'm not completely backing off Cwebb. Dont get me wrong. Like i said. He is slow and cannot give you major minutes. he simply wants a ring but then again he cannot be the main guy. Detroit IMO is not the team he should be with.. I understand he is the detroit native but he doesnt fit with that team. Besides, Detroit is done and not getting anywhere. Billups is done. He showed in multiple playoff games. He is losing that edge. Mavs can work for him.

Hummm.....I'm okay, chauncey is getting a bit old now, as we saw during the playoffs, but the rookie point guard stuckey is arriving at the perfect time...i guess chauncey will play maybe 32 minutes per game, and he will be in a good shape for the begining of the playoffs..
I agree when you said that chris wants a ring, but it's obvious too, that he knows he no longer be a franchise player....when you see the way he plays last season, he is very unselfish, and he don't want to be "the man"...
Of course, the mavs can work for him too, a place where he can be the starting center..why not?

My point exactly. Houston would be nice for him too actually. Hopefully he does not get discouraged and hangs it up.

I think C-Webb is past his prime and he really hurt us in the series against Cleveland, he should of went in the paint and clogged up the middle, he does that and Lebron gets nothing and on to Texas, but his youth and energy was gone . I say let the pride go Chris and retire.

No doubt C-Webb is past his prime. But it doesn't matter if he only plays 20 minutes he will get his 20 or someone else will. C-Webb isn't selfish
like Billips or Sheed he will pass the ball if your open. Not launch bombs like Mr. Big shot or Sheed who blew the series.

I agree. What a great player C. Webb is. I hope he stays and teaches the Pistons how to stay focused and help them out with their emotions. I hope the Good Lord gives him the strength to stay healthy and run up and down the court, but if its his time to step down, its been great having him.

Last news is that he is about to sign with the Mavericks. Good move on his part because Mavericks already signed Eddie Jones, and are about to sign James Posey as well. That makes for one great team. Mavericks needed better role players last year. You know, the ones capable of knocking down a WIDE OPEN jump shot.
