Something that happened tonight epitomizes the way things usually go against the Pistons. Dwight Howard made a basket on one end and didn't hustle back on defense. He then asked Gortat to help out for him and Marcin allowed Maxiell to make a thunderous dunk. That is when SVG called timeout and lit into the both of them.
It is all about hustle with this Detroit team. They always out hustle the Magic.
Also tonight there wwere 2 or 3 occassions where players..especially Dwight and Rashard...could have dove on the floor for loose balls. Instead they just reach down while hardly bending their knees to do so.
They need a whole lot more effort against these guys if they are gonna ever beat em...especially in the playoffs.
Dwight stumbled after he made the basket and turned to run up the floor. Dwight should NEVER be accused of not hustling. He is the epitome of hustle. If you look up the word hustle in the dictionary, you will see a picture of D-12 (along with Darrell Armstrong of course)

I heard from an inside source in the Magic that JJ and SVG got into huge argument today. JJ tried to show up Stan and SVG told him that he was going to make JJ guard Rip for the whole game. As expected Rip torched JJ and humbled him. Did you notice how JJ wasn't in the last huddle? There's trouble in Magicland. Even with JJ in the game, Orlando should have won that game. No Rasheed, no Iverson, pathetic. Yeah we were missing Turk and Nelson but McDyess singlehandedly kept the Pistons in it. They deserved to win that game.

Pathetic. The Magic are royally ****ed if they meet Detroit in the playoffs.
I don't think so. I think we are set up for the Eastern Conference rite of passage.

The 76ers held down the Celtics and they finally broke through and won titles

The Celtics held down the Pistons and they finally broke through and won titles.

The Pistons held down the Bulls and they finally broke through and won titles.

The Magic will finally break through Detroit and win our titles eventually. We have to go through the pi_ssed-ons to get it though.

Brian, I know you like to write about the Magic's failures. Understandibly, they will never beat Detroit in this current or old current form. That doesn't mean you have to always write with derision and a sense of negativity every time It gets really boring after this much of the season. How many other games include the season matchups in the end of article? If you don't want to write about the Magic, then don't please. But don't derail a team that can't ever beat 1 other team out there, and still be the 3rd or 4th best of the league, with a young, star center and a new, very nice arena soon. Please write for Boston if you're gonna keep writing like this all your career.

I am tired of the Pistons and their thuggery! I hope someone "rips" Hamilton's mask off and elbows him in the nose just as payback to the way he and the others play. They get away with murder!
Anyway I've Piston shoes and Piston pants and now i shall have piston their fans! Bring them on in the playoffs!

Yea, I defintely want to see the Magic play the Pistons in round 1. They may probably lose, but the way Dwight and them handle the series and the seasons after will basically be how they define themselves from that very series.

The sad thing is that the Pi_ssed-ons actually think they are a pretty good team this year because the Magic keep laying down for them.

The Pistons better go up to 5th seed or higher. Otherwise, it will be a first round exit for the Magic... Sad but true.

Soft .. plain and simple. What happened to hedo? Going forward ... God willing, Hedo and the Magic will face the pistons again and you"ll see him fold like a chair. Its just who he is, he's a great role guy but the Magic look at him like a top 3 player ... he isnt .. so now who is it? Dwight and lewis?

We should have gione after Posey ... if we have a shot at getting rasheed next yr no matter the baggae - make it happen. This magic team will never win the title. Did anyone see what Wade or even Trevor Ariza do in their games? You stand up for yourself and show balls ... Magic have no balls. Soft.... nuff said.

That really is pretty awesome Jim. It's been a crazy couple of years so winning something like that would really be special.
Thanks again Jim.
Do you want my email address?
Mark sorry I missed your response. I got involved watching a movie. Anyway however you want to receive the tickets is cool. Robert Henry came up with a good plan by saying we could do it through will call. Or however you want to do it is ok. Could even do a p.o. box deal. To discuss details we could meet in a chat room or you could send me your e mail.

The good thing is there is plenty of time to discuss it until the playoffs start.

Hopefully Turkoglu's injury isn't serious. An achilles injury could take a long time to heal.

I wonder if the Magic will basically shut him down for most of or all of the regular season.

And maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing. More than likely the Magic are going to finish in the number 3 position in the East. They are too far ahead to finish any worse than 3rd, and even though they are close to Boston and Cleveland now eventually I think the Cavs and Celtics will pull away from them with or without Turk in the lineup.

However it would be huge if they could finish number 1 or 2. But is it worth the risk of losing Hedo for a long period of time (playoffs too) by pushing him to play ?

Best thing for the Magic would be if Detroit finished at number 5. I think Atlanta could knock them out of the playoffs.

Right now I would almost rather see the Magic face the Celtics in a series and not the Pistons.

Dude if Dwight was hustling then I would hate to see what he would look like if he was doggin it.

The truth is he got a kick out of the fact that he stumbled over an opponent and was smiling about it.

He probably didn't think Detroit would push the basketball so fast going the other way.

Survey: If the Orlando Magic were to face the Detroit Pistons in round one of the playoffs what would the outcome likely be ?

A Magic sweep ?

Magic in 5,6, or 7 ?

Pistons sweep ?

Pistons in 5,6, or 7 ?

I think when the playoffs start the Magic will be ready to get over the hump. I pick the Magic in 6

Also if Turk is unable to play for awhile who do you bring in to start ? What lineup recommendations do you guys have ?

How about starting Battie at PF, move Rashard back to SF, and bring Gortat off the bench along with Pietrus ? Or start Gortat at PF and bring Battie off the bench ?

Or what about starting Pietrus at SF and bring Battie and Gortat in as usual ?

Well..bandwagon fans...kiss your Magic team goodbye. The Magic's "colorful" season just got tossed in the dumpster. Hope for a new and smart GM next season. So long...farewell...auf wiedersehen...goodbye. LMAO.

BTW, you can toss that rickety bandwagon of yours in the dumpster too.

Mark thanks for the e mail. I will save it for future reference when I need to contact you around playoff time. At that time we can make arrangements as to how you want to receive the tickets.
