the detroit pistons could start five old men and no bench and still beat the magic, because all the magic have to do is look at the detroit jersey and they get scared and mentally beaten...

No problem turdstorm regarding the tickets. That is also gernerous of you to make an offer to the forum.

The first person that makes a post that says give me them playoff tickets will have them.

Turdstorm won them in a contest I had but he is already going to the game so he gave them up for someone else to have.

So the first person to post saying they want them will have em.

The writing is on the wall. It is really, really important to the Pistons to think they can beat the Magic, but each game is closer and closer and in spite of their dirty tactics and the refs they own, they just squeaked by. Let them enjoy this one last nervous victory as much as they can. It is over for them.

But I found this game to actually be an outstanding basketball game.
Unlike the game in Orlando where we did not even compete,In this game both teams left it all in the court.
Believe or not I do not feel that bad about this loss.
If I were you I'd feel bad about this game. Things like offensive rebounds is all about hustle and effort. That is something that can't be taught you have to have it in you. And right now the Magic still don't get down on the ground, scrap for loose balls, and do the dirty work that it takes to win it all. Yes they played hard, but it's going take more as you saw tonight.

If the Magic do a better job of boxing out tonight and protect the basketball they win this game rather easily.

It is good to see that we were able to comepete with those guys. Too bad we needed Rasheed Wallace out of the game to do it.

Magic fans are back to blaming the refs…

In a regular season game….

On their third loss of the season to Detroit…

Because the Pistons “own” the refs…….

right.

And we have a winner!!! Mark congrats to you sir. I will keep you posted in the next couple of weeks regarding the tickets. Then once they are purchased we can come up with a plan as to how you want to receive them privately and securely of course.

I agree with you, this was an acceptable loss compared to a lot of the recent magic-pistons matchups. Dice was just in the right place at the right time. The game as a whole was very exciting right to the end. A positive thing to note is that we just helped the pistons one game closer to claiming that fifth spot ;)

But in all honesty i now want the pistons in the first round. The magic have their best shot this season against them and if theyre able to beat them in the first round, they're going to have some crazy confidence going into the 2nd round.

Something that happened tonight epitomizes the way things usually go against the Pistons. Dwight Howard made a basket on one end and didn't hustle back on defense. He then asked Gortat to help out for him and Marcin allowed Maxiell to make a thunderous dunk. That is when SVG called timeout and lit into the both of them.

It is all about hustle with this Detroit team. They always out hustle the Magic.

Also tonight there wwere 2 or 3 occassions where players..especially Dwight and Rashard...could have dove on the floor for loose balls. Instead they just reach down while hardly bending their knees to do so.

They need a whole lot more effort against these guys if they are gonna ever beat em...especially in the playoffs.

That really is pretty awesome Jim. It's been a crazy couple of years so winning something like that would really be special.

Thanks again Jim.

I dont know if its the coaching, the players playing stupid or both but when theres 3 minutes left in the game and we're running a pick and roll JJ reddick to Marcin Gortat, Something is way wrong. We have 2 all stars out there a great passing point guard and 2 of our bench players are running a pick and roll with the game on the line???? WTF is that. And for christ sakes GRAB THE DAMN BALL WHEN YOU REBOUND IT stop letting them slap it away. How about throwing some crisp on the money passes instead of weak BS thats intercepted or lasers that shoot right over the intended targets head. We didnt have Hedo at the end and I think that hurt us some but with how stupid our guys played I dont see how we could have won. They did play hard and you could tell they wanted to win but they still played dumb, they couldnt get the ball into the right guys hands or run the plays right. All that said I still think we would beat this team in the playoffs. All it would take is one win and then we would sweep them the rest of the games.

Your giving Detroit too much credit Jim, the Pistons will be happy to MAKE the playoffs this season, no matter who they play.
