BUT, we should be happy with what we saw out there tonight. Dwight has been playing a little more focused the past few games and you could see tonight he played much better than he normally does against the pistons - 27pts 14rebs 4blk. The biggest news is he didn't have any fouls until the 4th qtr, he's finally learning to let the little stuff go and how to play against this team.

As i said before the pistons beat us last time because most of their starters played 40 minutes. Tonight, they again broke their rotation by playing 3 of their starters for 40 minutes. They haven't done this against any other team. I'm beginning to think a win against the magic is even more important to the pistons because they want to keep the psychological advantage over us. I actually want the pistons in the playoffs after what i saw tonight. Now that i know dwight is capable of being focused and doing his thing, i think we could win a series against them. Dice isn't going to get those lucky bounces every game, so that many rebounds is not a concern for future games.

This was quite an exciting game that had a playoff feel to it and i enjoyed it even though we lost. We could have easily won this if it werent for a couple bad fouls by our old or terrible role players.

Same old broken record. Turnovers, offensive rebounds allowed, and mistakes in crunch time.

All of this and they didn't have Rasheed Wallace. When they traded Billups and McDyess it looked like the Magic were finally done with these pests.

However once McDyess returned I know that it would continue to be the same old story once again. He won the game for them tonight.

Detroit does all the little things right against the Magic. The Magic on the other hand do not.

And unless things change the reults will always be the same.

Hello Tragic fans!!

Thanks for another win! As long as the Pistons stay in the 6th spot, all I can say is.. let me quote a former Magic Player in the playoffs during the Pistons Championship run...."MAAAAAAAAAN IT FEELS GOOD TO BE IN THE SECOND ROUND!!!"

I mean really a 12 year old school girl puts up more of fight than the Magic do...

ORLANDO MAGIC= MOST IRRELEVANT TEAM IN 2009

Orlando Magic = Property of DEEEEEEEEEEETROOOOOOOOOOIIT BASSSSSSSSSSSKEEEEEEEEEEEEEETB ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

What is going on that we cannot beat Detroit, this people are a mediocre team, we need to shake it up and play more physical, they killed us in the boards tonight specially on the offensive end. We cannot allow Hamilton to play like that that at the end. Is there any player that can foul hard, while we are smiling (see Dwight) this etroit team is beating us and wearing us down, I still believe we can beat them but it is going to take a lotmore effort and intensity.

I'm sick of this! The Magic can never seem to beat the Pistons at all. Even the Thunder beat them for crying out loud. That 8 game losing streak before the game in Orlando made it seem as if the Pistons were down and out, but now it seems the Magic are the reason they have something to play for and that is to remain at the 6 seed so they can eliminate the Magic AGAIN!!!!!!! If the Magic are going to play the Pistons in round 1, it could be one and done. It seemed as if they lacked heart and hustle tonight, turning it over and letting the Pistons get offensive rebounds at will. It seemed as if the Magic just didn't want to play physical basketball at all which they'll have to play physically if they are going to play the Pistons or the Celtics in the playoffs. I can rant on and on but it's not like it'll help the Magic find a way to ever beat the Pistons.

Man playing Detroit is depressing.

Seems like they get away with murder but we get called for every foul possible.

My complaint tonight is the same complaint I had against Boston. We need a lock down defender so the Ray Allen's and Rip Hamiltons don't rip us apart.

I thought that was going to be Petrius and then I thought it would be Courtney Lee. I guess we just don't have a Bruce Bowen type guy on this team.

Turdstorm your prediction did not come true but congratulations you just won yourself 3 upper bowl tickets to a first round playoff game in April.

Originally I said it would be 2 upperbowl tickets to a first round playoff game in April, but I will add another one because I am so pessed off about losing to these pests once again.

In case you missed it turd I made up this contest in the Magic/Celtics forum from yesterday. All the info is there. If you keep coming into the forum I will keep you posted about the tickets. Then we can make arrangements as to how I can send them to you if that's cool with you.

If you don't want to receive the tickets then they will go to whoever came into the forum after you tonight...excluding myself of course.

So you won yourself some playoff tickets dude! This should make up for the friggen Pistons crapola.

Don't worry about it, Jim. Thanks for the offer even though we lost. I'll be in the lower bowl/midcourt like i usually am for the playoffs. Pass them on to someone who wouldn't be going otherwise, so they can enjoy the experience.

MagicFanMark, we held hamilton to 40% shooting tonight, that's much better than previous games. Unfortunately he was beasting in the assist department, so whoever was guarding the players he passed to are to blame.

The reason we lost is clear as day = offensive rebounds 15 to 6, that won't happen again so i'd be happy to play the pistons in the playoffs. The magic are finally learning how to play against these actors.

What really killed us is allowing so many offensive rebounds tonight which led to 18 second chance points.

Detroit had 91 possesions to 64 for the Magic. That's 27 more possessions.

Tony Battie should have come in the game at some point while Gortat was allowing McDyess to snag everything in sight.

15 turnovers which led to 15 points for Detroit was another factor in the game as well.

Kwame Brown looked like an All Star tonight.

To get right to the point I think these guys simply out hustle the Magic. It seems like they are quicker to every rebound and loose ball.

They keep the game close for 3 quarters and then they force you into making mistakes by turning the pressure up a few notches.

So they have the players who do the dirty work..McDyess, they have a consistent scorer..Hamilton, and they are a team that doesn't make many mistakes. They get things done in crunch time when it counts.

Yes we lost again
Yes I hate it
But I found this game to actually be an outstanding basketball game.
Unlike the game in Orlando where we did not even compete,In this game both teams left it all in the court.
Believe or not I do not feel that bad about this loss.
