As ugly as it gets

A veteran team with a 21-point lead against an inexperienced, injury-depleted team usually gets a victory, right? Not when you're the Indiana Pacers and not when you've yet to show you know how to seize an ... Full Story

Nice to see the new coach stress tough defense. I heard in Bird (Brain's) press conference when he intorduced Obrien. He stated that he was defense minded. Nice job. Dear Simon brothers, please move this team to a new city.

I think Obrien and the rest of the thugs idea of tough defense is carrying guns to strip bars. Nobody would put up 131 points on the pacers at the gold club. Nice work

Come on folks, it is early yet and these kinds of games are going to happen. I did not think the Pacers would be where they arenow,(500) but I was wrong. One game does not a season make. I say this and I am not sure about the Pacers yet either, but it is still early. Remember the Colts last year?? It can still happen.

That's what I'm talkin' about! Roller coaster...inconsistent...lack of focus! Tinsley, the leader, the MVP, 3 for 10. Exciting Pacers basketball! Love it!

There isn't a one of you armchair GMs/Coaches who praised their last defensive effort nor did any of you think they'd be .500 at this point.Get a life.

The game was played on Friday night. Jamaal and the Night Visitors were thinking about which strip club they were going to after the game. I get so tired of reading statements from players about how they have to step up and play defense, or whatever, and then go back out and make the same stupid mistakes. They aren't telling the public anything we didn't already know. Remember the old cliche, "Actions speak louder than words". As long as these so called "professionals" are making mega-bucks, they could care less about whether they win a game or not. There needs to be some kind of incentive pay in place. How about if you lose a game, half of your pay for that game is forfeited? It's hard to imagine but, most of these doofuses are making $10,000 per game, or more. If half of their pay was taken away when they lose, maybe they would try harder. I have seen many professional ball players, not just basketball players, sitting on the bench laughing and cutting up while their team is being demolished on the court or playing field. As long as they are getting these obnoxious salaries they don't give a damn.

Hate to say it but Kravitz nailed it. He said they are a .500 team before and his recent article he reinforced the Pacers "are who we thought they are".

They have talent but you cant play every night and blow a big lead and lose one, and make up a big deficit the next and win.

I'm not counting them out for playoffs as there is still lots of time but they need to figure out how to control their games.

I can understand having a bad night and getting beat by a bad team, but 131 points? I would have thought they had more pride than that. The game wasn't on TV, but it sure sounds like there was a total lack of effort.

That is what you get from a bunch of thugs and losers. Is anyone surprised at this failure....they are a lost organization with no leadership on the floor or off.

Does anyone like myself find it extremely humorous that the worst team in the NBA draws 50% more people to a game that than the TrailPacers do? The Pacers announced attendance of 10,000 per game is a joke as well. They are lucky to have 8-9,000 suckers in the stands.

What is that telling the TrailPacers and you moronic, blind fans?

Sign me up too. I'm 45 and I know I can shoot better than 60%+/- from the free throw line. Heck I might even be able to pull down more than 6 rebounds (which was the team high last night) if I was given 20-30 minutes of playing time. Will there be open tryouts next season?

I am a Pacers Season ticket holder and have been for years....I have watched this city jump on the band wagon when Reggie Ruled the court and when they hung his banner in the rafters the so called "pacers" fans left with him. I don't won't to hear you crying on a future post when you can't buy tickets. This team is on the rise, last nights lost was a rude awakening. You must first make mistakes to know how to fix them.

It's funny how the idiots come out of the woodwork on these comment sections when there's a bad loss but mysteriously absent when there's a nice victory.

Pathetic losers.
