Blount, you are praising Blount and knocking Walker when he helped your team get a ring.?
Your pathetic Ira and the Heat suck and Walker doesn't get the blame.
Shaq had no problem winning games without Wade when Walker and Jones were on the team so you keep praising ME ME Blount.lol while the team loses and loses because Shaq and J-Will are the only real talent on the floor anymore.

Why are the refs calling the power move by Shaq a foul now and not ten or even five years ago? He used to bull everybody over when he was with the Lakers and the refs never called it.

He's so big that I think he gets bad calls. If anyone else in the league got pounded like Shaq does they'd be falling all over the place and getting calls, but Shaq is so big he just flicks them off like flies. He's getting hit all the time and the refs don't call it.

I think that's the major change in Oneal's production now than 6 years ago.

Riley...the do refs dislike you that much?

don't loose hope yet on the heat. i like what i see, i think that once wade is back things will fall into place. teams are doubleteaming shaq since wade isn't playing forcing the rest of the team to beat then (wich hasn't occured) teams are doubling shaq off the power foward, so miami's player should cut right trough to the basket and finish it. i belive since wade has been cleared to play that he would be starting at least a week b4 expected.(i just hope they aren't rushing anything) pat should give a chance to penny, he has the best basketball wise player they have on roster. and for shaq complaining...mmmm...if he were making those shots the team would be playing off him. but he is missing and turning over 2 much, hopefully he'll kick it up in the comming weeks. still miami wont get any higher than conference champion at best!!!

That heat team looks pretty good and they are filling their roles, except that one guy is not playing his role. SHAQ. I think everyone else is more than living up to expectations. Even Ricky Davis, blount, cook...they have all been impressive....If they had Duncan or Garnett instead of Shaq, they would have won the game. But, our "superman superstar" who gets paid 20 million to be the superstar is in a world of his own now...and it blows my minds as to why he cannot correct his free throw shooting. If someone is getting paid 20 mil a year, he should shoot as many free throws to try to correct them instead of playing cops and robbers and all other b.s. that he does. And forget the points. We want to see some defense and rebounds. Don't expect the ball to be thrown into you all the time. instead go for the rebound and play defense. This guy plays like he does not want to be on the court if the ball is not thrown into him 90% of the time. Practice the free throws and start working out harder like mourning so you can keep up with the young guys. This guy is a burden to the team instead of being a burden to the other team now. he is becoming a walker.

All of the doom and gloomers out there that want to throw the season in the toilet already b/c we dropped a game against Detroit and then another to Indiana. Phhhhttt. Who cares...? It's 2 games in an 82 game season. This is a MARATHON PEOPLE, NOT A RACE.

You morons baffle me. Ready to jump off a cliff and declare the season a failure. Un-freakin-believable.

This team (sometime around mid-season) will end up being more dynamic (and more dangerous) than the team that won the title in '06. The key to it will be everybody playing within themselves and accepting their role(s).

Like it or not, the first 20 - 25 games will not be pretty for the Heat. All of the new guys will have to learn how to play within Riley's defense. If not, they won't get on the court. But, in terms of athleticism, length, and offensive potency ... this team will be more potent than it was in '05 -'06, and FAR SUPERIOR to what it was in '06 -'07. Games 25 - 35/40 of the season will be when this team begins to turn the corner.

Ricky Davis has already showed he will be the 3rd scorer this team has not had since Jamal Mashburn played with Tim Hardaway and Alonzo Mourning.

DeaQuan Cook is going to make a LOT of teams sorry for letting him drop in the first round of the draft. The kid's a straight up "baller". Like Ricky Davis, he can burn you along the baseline, going through the lane, or by rainin' down '3s'. Instant offense off the bench.

With Wade back, all these guys will settle into their 'roles'.
With Wade back, he will have something new, something he hasn't had since the Heat picked up Shaq ... 3 guys (including JWill - who is supposedly healthy which would be a first) around him who can ALSO attack the rim on a consistent basis, and two of the three (Davis and Cook) can light it up from the perimeter. This gives the Heat a LOT of options in calling plays without changing personnel.

Notice, I haven't even gotten to Dorrel Wright ("DW Jr"). The only real reason is,'the light hasn't turned on' for him. He still doesn't have an understanding of how to play the game and still gets lost on defense. It's disappointing to say it, but it may take another year of development for him to "get it". I do believe the reward is definitely worth the patience though. Wright - COULD BE - a more athletic version of Tayshaun Prince.

Basically, I believe this team is built to compliment Dwayne Wade and what he does - make players around him better. You add 2 more slashing scorers to the roster with Shaq and Zo down low, and Haslem and Blount cleaning the glass ... IMO, this team will better far better than it was last year.

I think Shaq already misses having his other fat buddy in the team to get him the ball. Oh, wait, I forgot, Walker never passed the ball.
You're a freakin' retard. Flaws and all, Walker was the ONLY GUY who could consistently get Shaq the ball and then get the hell out of the way. Ricky is more concerned with his numbers and Blount is garbage despite him getting "lucky" and hitting 3 of 4(even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile) from 3pt land.

But the bottom line is this : 0-5.

Throughout all his time there(even in last years disastrous campaign), the team NEVER started 0-5 with Toine there...NEVER. I hope Miami fans are enjoying their new LOTTERY team.

Walker may be in a lottery team in Minny but at least that's EXPECTED and he knows it. He's probably laughing his azz off at the Heat as we speak. It's gotten to the point that when Wade gets back, this team will have a MONSTER HILL to climb back to even .500.

And even then, this team is no longer Championship worthy. The team obviously had just a 2-year window with Shaq and Wade(the first where they got injured and eliminated by detroit in '05 and the 2nd where Good ol' Toine helped Diesel and Dwade to their first and, most likely, only championship).
