Sad to say this series exposed the courageous but folly of Dwayne to attempt to return half fit. He is a mere mortal and the injuries look to be more severe than he let on. Of particular concern is the knee - the shoulder will mend properly in time (takes about 12 - 18 months I believe)

I hope I am wrong but I fear we may have seen the Wade of the future in this series - unable through injury to reach the dazzling heights of 2006. At least we had one championship ....

why don't the heat gm contact the boarder control and instead of sending the cuban and hatian illegal immigrants back. give them all a tryout with the miami heat...nice 4 game sweep!

Riley and the older guys on their team are used to playing the old way of basketball. Basketball is changing. More like the Phoenix Suns, the Bulls and Golden State. Running and guys that can make baskets. Not counting on just one or two guys. It take a team working together to win and over coming injuries.

Take off the white shirts and start wearing black for the Heats funeral! Remember when i said Bulls in 4? Stop talking about refs and Wade not being 100%, because he cant do it on his own and Wade is no Jordan. Wade loves being injured so he can have a good game and be compared to the greats. Also refs called these last couple games in the Heats favor. Sorry Shaq but you cant get away will elbowing people in the face anymore. Big ups to Ben "The Body' Wallace for making his free throws. Miami fans, stop acting loyal because you are the biggest group of fake front runners. Where were you before Wade stepped up in the playoffs his rookie year? You might as well be Knicks fans because 80% of you are from NY anyways. But indeed you guys have the best cheerleaders! DAAAA BULLLLLSSS

I must say I couldn't wait for all of the posts by the haters!!! The Heat did not win. That's okay. No one can take that 1 ring away...At the very least we had an excuse. Our entire season was filled with major injuries and just started off badly.(#4 and #5 seeds are playing on the same level...champs or not) But...after last night's 3rd butt whooping for Dallas...who's sorry??? What's their excuse??? HMMMM, none! Not a one. They are getting run over by their #8...whom they only beat once in the season. They have the best record in the 07 season...but guess what?? They'll be home after Wednesday night watching the rest of the playoffs too. Right along with my man D.Wade and Sir Kobe. Redemption is sweet!

Stop making excuses, every team has injuries, just like Rasheed Wallace last year in the ECF, with his ankle and Rip as well. Injuries are apart of the game, quit whinning, they would have been better without Wade this series, cause when you run your offense through Shaq you have to move the ball around for open looks, not Wade going one on one with the whole team. You guys are flukes, thats it. One and done, you didnt even get out of the first round!

This is what losers typically write. I love the injury excuses. The Heat is full of veterans and basically the entire core is back in one piece. So what if they missed time during the regular season. They all suited up for the playoffs and got their a$$ handed to them. D-Wade had almost 24 pts/game in the playoffs...that is only 3 off his regular season avg. That can't be an excuse for getting swept. GO BULLS!!!!

Miami must trade some players, for next year, they have to build a team around Wade,Haslem, Kapono and maybe dorell! Zo, Walker, Payton and Shaq are very good players, but if the Heat want to win a title in the next few years they must trade them. Trade against younger players like Gerald Wallace from the Bobcats. If they don`t do/can that, I think they won`t be able to win a title in the next 3 years.
Miami Heat forever!!! Greetings from Switzerland
Someone with something real to say. Yep the heat never really got going this year, and I don't htink they will with this roster. last year everything just worked out well and Wade was 100%. He could close games out. Even this year he did until the injury. If big ben can make free throws, why can't shaq. i think I could do better and i don't play. Even Wade missed too many. I think the team was tired and worn by a much faster and better coached team. Not the riles isn't a good coach, but i think it's easier to motivate youth to defeat age. These old guys are done, we need to re-build for a future, not a single title. I am glad we have one now, but lets build a lasting team. Thanks for the good days guys. Too bad it had to end like this.

Maybe the regular season really does mean something. If they had won a few more games, the Heat could've played Orlando and had a week off instead of the whole summer.

As a Heat fan, I have to call this what it is...a mercy kill! A part of me is thankful that it is over and would not want to see our free-throw line ineptitude, long scoreless droughts, brick 3-pointers, and inability to finish at the basket for yet another series. And not to mention even more discussion about Wade's shoulder...we don't need to be reminded.
Chicago lost for the last two seasons in the first round. Did anyone think they would really lose for a third straight time in the first round given Miami's downwared decline? And Chicago faced a Heat team that I think shut it down once it got comfortable with the idea of the 4th seed. There was a point when the three seed was within reach, but the team couldn't get it together.
NBA Championship teams evolve after taking their lumps in prior years' playoffs: Detroit had to oust Boston; Chicago had to get over Detroit; and most recently, Miami had to breakthrough Detroit finally. Perhaps today's Chicago team has jumped over its own hurdle in the form of Miami.
Go Bulls...beat Detroit!!
