The blame can't all be placed on Davis. His coming to the Heat wasn't an answer to a pray; that team's problems doesn't stop with an anemic offense. They can't stay healthy, their defense is uninspired, and they've lost that championship mentality/swagger that carried them in the 2005-06 season. I love hearing O'Neal talk about how he's suppose to step up and help carry this team when he can't even stay on the floor because of foul trouble -- I literally laugh my ass off whenever I think about it! He certainly is no longer a threat on offense -- a simple double-team gets the ball out of his hands into one of his offensively-challenged teammates (who never get it back to him in the post), with the exception of Wade, whom I imagine is dog-tired of carrying this team on his shoulders. He must be thinking to himself "Thank God I only signed a 3 year extension..." Really happy for Riley -- people who backstab their colleagues (i.e., Stan Van Gundy) eventually have their karma turn sour. I certainly hope that championship is going to be worth the headaches he'll face the next couple of seasons (if things don't change in Miami).

The heat should trade Ricky Davis to the bull for JamesOn Curry and chris duhon since they desperately needs a point guard. So both teams can have a change to make it to the playoffs.

We should try to get Damon Jones and Eddie Jones back. This is the best thing we can do.

There is no reason to be lost here. 3 reasons...
1. Riley and Pfund sat on their azzes this summer and waited until the last minute to TRY to get help for an aging team. They had to settle for scraps to save face (unsuccessfully)
2. Riley doesn't spend a lot of time trying to DEVELOP the young talent (see Dorrell Wright - no excuse for him to not be ready after 3-4years)
3. The players, as a result, are not responding to his same old tired tactics. Its obvious on the court with their effort.
Side note: funny how ex-players (posey, eddie house, kapono, bruce bowen, etc excel after they leave his system). Do bad things (van gundy situation) and bad things happen to you. It's just karma catching up to Riley.
