Why trade a potential starter for a back-up? Big men are hard to come by. I may not know much but I felt this draft was important. I feel like they blew it. This was a great chance at getting younger and athletic.

Im glad the Heat traded that jasan smith kid. The best he ever gone be is Michael Doleac. We already got The Real Doleac alredy. Deaquan Cook is going to be a good back up for D-Wade in the future. Watch what I say.

Cook is a nice pic, no real problems with that. I honestly think the Stanko pick was for some other team. Riley hates the International guys.

Why not give Green a chance? Again we pass on a guard for someone who isn't even going to play here. What the hell are they thinking? The teams around Miami got better I like what Atlanta and NY were able to do. And let's face it NJ and Washington are may well be better than the Heat if they can keep their players healthy. We already have problems with the Bulls. We still need a point guard and Steve Blake isn't going to be the answer.

wow the heat really don't know how to draft they would have been better off trading the pick for a vet after this.

All you people crying need to STFU and pick another team to support. this isnt the dolphins. the heat are very well run, RILEY WON US A CHAMPIONSHIP, now shut your know NOTHING mouths all together now.. you have NO CLUE how good any of these guys will turn out, and Cook has lots of potential.. Smith? How many big tall white guys do you see get drafted? Now how many of them make it? 3%, tops? You were probably made when we took that Wade guy over Chris Kaman too

You fake heat fans make me sick. PLEASE, pick another team.

Amazing. The Heat botch another draft, adding nothing to a roster glaringly full of holes. Neither of these players will stick. What was it about Cook's two points in the championship game against Florida that Riley found so impressive? Pat Riley and co. just took the heat off the Dolphins and made Cameron and his draft look like geniuses. Dorell Wright and Wayne Simien, the Heat's last two first round picks, even look brilliant by comparison, and they live on the bench. Well, so much for keeping up with the Bulls. Or the Knicks, the Raptors, etc.

This guy's career is over before it starts. Riley won't give him any floor time. Let's concentrate on the Heat dancers instead.
